Little Corners has a few issues, but overall, it’s polished, cute, colorful, relaxing, and a lot of fun. Decorating the rooms is immersive, and you can spend a lot of time making all the stickers just perfect. And all without worrying about your stickers losing their stickiness. The added hidden stickers, backgrounds, and new levels make it worth your time, especially if you loved the demo. The price point is a little high, but still well within reason. I do hope the developers add more options for the stickers in the future, like recoloring and resizing, but Little Corners is great as it is right now.
I had a little bit of an issue with the tutorial in OVERLOOK, but other than that, I think it was a perfect hidden object puzzle game. The music and sound design were great, the puzzles were challenging, and there was a hint system. All the levels look hand-drawn and are charmingly rendered. It has a unique style that I am all about, and I like the interactive-ness of each of the levels. Not to mention, you can pet the cat. Overall, OVERLOOK was everything I wanted it to be and more. If you like hidden object puzzles and feel like you don’t need a tutorial to help you get a handle on the controls, it’s literally the perfect game. I love it a lot, and I think every puzzle lover will love it just as much as I did.
Overall, Undusted: Letters from the Past was cute, heartwarming, sad, beautiful, and well worth a playthrough. It might be short, but the length is balanced by a very reasonable price tag. I enjoyed my time with Undusted, and I will be recommending it to friends who like the same types of games. If you are a fan of emotional visual novels with a little bit of relaxing, meditative cleaning thrown in, you’ll not regret your time with Adora and her family.
Voxelgram 2 is a great nonogram-like game with a lot of content and a big challenge. I liked everything about it, from the informative tutorial to the simple but charming graphics. My only issue with it was the dizziness, which is probably mostly a me problem. If you like puzzle games, especially nonograms, you will probably love this one too!
Bye Sweet Carole is fine, but it doesn’t live up to the hype. Overall, it’s just aggressively fine; it’s not super fun to play, but it is really gorgeous. I hope the developers keep working on this game.
While The Qubit Factory is not for me, it could be perfect for you. If you enjoy these kinds of programming-style games, The Qubit Factory is a good game to choose. It’s free, it’s by an indie developer, and it has a simple premise that leads to great puzzles. I really liked my brief time with The Qubit Factory, and those with the correct kind of brain would probably really enjoy this one.
think Tonetrek would get a “Two Thumbs Up!” if it adds an autosave and a tutorial pop-up. The puzzles are great, I didn’t run into any bugs, and it’s cute and a lot of fun. If you enjoy simple puzzles that are difficult, you will probably like Tonetrek a whole lot. However, I don’t feel good about giving it a perfect score when it feels a little unfinished.
In my opinion, Henry Halfhead is perfect. It has the same colorful, cartoon vibe as games like Wattam and Fruitbus while being something unique. I adore this game, and I hope you have the time to experience Henry Halfhead for yourself!
I adored my time with Little Witch in the Woods. It’s cute, it’s fun, it’s calming, and it’s got some amazing art. It has been in Early Access for a long time, so I was surprised that these bugs have stuck around. Overall, it’s a great game with a great story and gameplay loop; I think most people who love cozy sims will love Little Witch in the Woods a whole lot, just like I did.
Overall, Gloomy Eyes was a treasure of a game. It had a great story, amazing aesthetics, and a great soundtrack. It was a little short, and I feel like it could have been expanded a bit at the end to make the last cutscene a little less abrupt, but overall, the story and characters were amazing. If you like spooky Tim Burton kids’ movies like Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline, and you even thought, “Hey these could make a fun game,” you should check out Gloomy Eyes for sure.
Overall, Isles & Tiles is a fun game that has a few little things I don’t like about it. I really like all the different modes, and I wish there was more to do. I would love to see a kind of endless mode and a creative mode for this game; I feel like those could add a lot of content and fun to the game. A great game with a great premise and pretty to look at.
Overall, Desk Paws is cute, fun, and has a lot of fun things to do in it, but it is too busy in my opinion. I think it’s a great little addon if you are watching YouTube videos, bored, or looking for a little distraction, but it’s not very good at being the game you can have running on your desktop “while you work or study,” as the Steam page states. I think whether you would like Desk Paws or not will depend a lot on how much space your project is taking up, and how much focus you actually need to get your work and studying done. If you are easily distracted and like mini-games, you’ll probably lose a lot of time having this little game on your desktop.
To be completely honest, these types of guessing games aren’t really my style. While Bring You Home was cute, beautiful, had no bugs that I saw, and was really polished, I just didn’t have much fun with it. However, if you don’t mind it or if you like that kind of thing, Bring You Home is a shining example of an amazing guessing game. It’s pretty, it’s cute, it’s cartoony, it’s wholesome, and there are a lot of levels to go through. Overall, it’s a very well put together game, and I think that it could be a lot of fun to play with the family. Even though it wasn’t for me, it was the best example of this kind of game that I have seen since Dragon’s Lair.
If you like decorating games that have very little guidance and won’t tell you what to do, MakeRoom is a perfect game for you. It’s cozy, it’s aesthetic, and the vibes are on point. I had no issues with the game really, and I think there are loads of creative types out there who would love this game a lot. I can’t recommend MakeRoom enough. It’s almost perfect, and I look forward to playing it again once the community has had the opportunity to make a bunch more items and put them up for others to download and play with.
If you know someone who likes memes and is in need of a little cheering up, I can’t recommend is THIS a game? enough to them. It’s short, sweet, silly, and worth the couple of bucks to support a great artist. Overall, a perfect gag gift game. I loved my time with is THIS a game? I think it continues to add new depth to what a video game can be.
Slimekeep is a really fun game that feels like other action roguelikes, but it has its own spin on the genre. It’s fun, adorable, and well-made. Overall, it’s a great game, and I’m glad I got to play it. I am really bad at it, but I hope to get better and take down the Slime King myself.
Harold Rabbit—Finder of Lost Things feels like an unfinished game. With a little bit of work, it could be a lot of fun and very cute, but as it stands, I wouldn’t pick this game up. Once it has been updated with some bug fixes and a hint system, this will be an absolute delight to play, but I can’t give it a positive score as is. I hope to be able to change this rating in the future.
Overall, Camper Van: Make it Home is a lot of fun. It’s cute, it’s cozy, and the premise is great. However, it didn’t quite feel done without a creative mode. It’s pretty short, but it’s one of those games you can play several times and still get the same relaxing vibes out of it that you did the first time. I enjoyed my time with Camper Van: Make it Home, but I’m not sure it is worth the price that players will need to pay for it.
Alex Hill: Whispers at White Oak Inn is a pretty good game. I am not a huge fan of the genre of mystery point-and-click games, but this one was actually pretty well done. I was surprised at how much of it I played through before remembering I was supposed to be doing a review! Overall, it was a good experience. While I think that those who are experts at this genre will find it a little too simple or easy, I think it’s still worth a play.
If you liked The Secret Salami, you will love Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping. If you haven’t played The Secret Salami yet, play that one first. This one picks up with the story from the end of the previous one, so there are some characters you won’t know unless you finished the first one. I was super sad when Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping ended; I think this episode was too short. But other than that, I had no issues with this beautiful, funny, adorable game from a developer I already loved deeply. Excellent work once again.
