Trinket Bag Maker is not for everyone, but for the people who like this sort of sandbox experience, it’s amazing. You have tons of options, a million little charms to decorate with, and a lot of relaxing music to chill out to. It’s a great time for those who love this sort of thing. 10/10, I would recommend!
I Eat Paintings When Guards Aren’t Looking is not my favorite hidden object game. I think that it could have been well done and a lot of fun to play, but it just kind of fell flat. I like the educational aspect of the game, but I think the riddles are not well done. However, it was silly, fun, and had a lot of cool information and neat paintings in it. If you really like hidden object games, this is a cheap and unique one to choose. But it is also very short, so keep that in mind as well.
Gecko Gods was well worth the wait. I found this lizardy adventure to be fun, gorgeous, and very engaging. The puzzles are fun, and the main character is so well animated that it feels real. I did have a few issues with the camera, but the rest of Gecko Gods was so perfect that I didn’t mind. It is one of the best games I’ve played so far this year, and I know other puzzle game lovers will enjoy it as well.
Overall, though, the Powerwash Simulator 2: Adventure Time Pack was everything I wanted it to be. It was goofy fun that looks like it is part of the Adventure Time world. It’s perfect for fans of both Powerwash Simulator and Adventure Time.
As it currently stands, Pizza Slice is not a fun simulation game. It’s a shame, because it looks like a lot of fun. It has Twitch integration, and it has several difficulties (I’m scared to try hard mode, considering how hard Normal mode has been). I hope the developers make some changes going forward.
Other than those small things, I had a great time with Pencil Stories. I think this wholesome game is very well made; you can tell it is a passion project. I think a pass with a native English speaker on the translation wouldn’t go amiss, though. If you like these types of cozy puzzle games, riddles, and learning all about wholesome denizens of a small, animal community, you will have a great time with Pencil Stories
Lil Gator Game: In the Dark is a fantastic addition to the base game. I adore the original, and I even do randomisers of it in my free time. The DLC had a couple of small issues, but it didn’t impact my overall enjoyment of it. I love this game, and I’m so happy it got some DLC. It is well worth the price; there’s lots to do and a bunch of story stuff. The new map is beautiful, the music and sound design are great, and you get to spend even more time with everyone’s favorite lil gator. I cannot begin to tell you all how much Lil Gator Game and In the Dark warms my heart. If you liked the base game, you won’t want to miss the DLC.
I think if Roach Post added an interactive tutorial, it would basically be the perfect game. It’s addictive, cute, fun, and even the little bugs are so cute. I can’t stop playing Roach Post, and I am looking forward to any projects these developers get into in the future.
Overall, The Case of the Catacombs: A Tale from Atruxia is fun. A little too easy in my opinion, but with humor and fun characters. The artwork isn’t going to win awards, but it was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. If the next chapter of this game series has more difficult puzzles, I will be first in line to play it!
Jewel Match Atlantis Solitaire 5 is not breaking any new boundaries; it’s not anything special, but it is pretty well done. I only found two little bugs that occur when you use the back button. Overall, the game is a lot of fun if you like Solitaire-like card games.
Overall, I found Jixo 4: Magical Nights Collector’s Edition to be not worth my time or money. The puzzles are okay, the art is bad, and the game is so generic that it’s impossible to state anything that makes it unique. I am not a fan of AI art, and I didn’t enjoy looking at it for the couple of hours I played. If you are looking for a great little puzzle game with cute graphics, original artwork, and unique puzzles, the Jixo series and other Mixo games do not seem to be the place to look.
I don’t have a whole lot to say about A Cat named Gossamergoober. I like the vibe; it’s goofy and weird in a way that I find appealing. But the gameplay and the levels aren’t fun, and they are filled with bugs. They don’t seem to have a goal or a point a lot of the time. The controls aren’t the best. I think A Cat named Gossamergoober could be a fun game with a lot of playtesting and tweaking, but it is not yet worth your hard-earned money.
I had a whole lot of fun with The Kindling. It’s a very simple game with a simple premise, but it gets more complex as you continue. It uses levels to teach you the different interactions, and therefore doesn’t need a tutorial. It’s a cute, quirky little game, and I love it immensely. Hopefully, we’ll see more from these talented developers in the future.
Overall, MIRO feels a little unfinished. I think it has a lot going for it, and it could be a very interesting game. It has very good bones, but some of the meat of it is just not what I was looking for. I still liked my time with it, and I enjoyed exploring. I want more from MIRO, and I think most players will agree with me. I hope this developer keeps at it. I look forward to future updates!
I love all the little changes that have been made. I think City Tales – Medieval Era is a great, peaceful city builder. The music is perfect, the visuals are great, and the companion system is wonderful. I like the new pacing, the new districting, and the massive amounts of additions that were made. Overall, I found City Tales – Medieval Era to be a pleasant time, and I applaud these developers for such a well-made game with a strong 1.0. If you enjoy cozy city builders with fun little side companion stories, this is the perfect one for you.
Junkyard Universe is a very odd arcade game that feels new and different from the others. The premise is simple, but the gameplay is fun. I encountered very few bugs, and those I did weren’t too offensive. I can tell this is a one-person dev team with a lot of heart. I enjoyed my time overall with Junkyard Universe in spite of not being a huge fan of the genre. If you are looking for an interesting arcade game that is easy to pick up but challenging to master, you should check this little game out. Junkyard Universe is proof that the arcade genre is not completely played out just yet.
It’s Not You, It’s M.E tells an important story about how difficult life can be with an illness. It felt real and had a great message. I liked a lot about it, but I feel that the mini games didn’t add to the game; they felt like an afterthought. Overall, it’s an impossible game that teaches an important lesson.
CrossAbout could have been a cool idea. It’s a neat, unique concept, but it feels a little bit lacking in some areas. I always love to support non-profits, and I like puzzle games, but I’m not sure I can recommend this one. It was close to being fun, but didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
Mimi in Meowndering House has great puzzles, adorable cat noises, and is a simple game to pick up. I like a lot of aspects of it. However, the unskippable replay every time you restart a level, coupled with a handful of smaller issues, made it feel like it was never playtested properly. I think that Mimi in Meowndering House could be a great game with some tweaking, but it is not quite there yet.
Cats & Cups is a lot of fun, and I found my time in my little cafe to be a lot of fun. It was a little repetitive since it took a long time to buy upgrades. However, if this is your type of game, it’s worth the $10 USD to pick it up. There are several things I didn’t like about it, but it was worth a playthrough. I got about 4 hours into a playthrough, and I didn’t want to stop playing to write the review! I unlocked a lot of items, but there was still a lot more to be done. I didn’t even get a chance to try out the furniture because it was too expensive for my income. With more upgrades, Cats & Cups will be the kind of addicting simulation game that has you serving up coffee for hours and hours on end. If you like these types of games, I recommend trying out this one. It is simple, but it is also polished and requires that you move quickly to satisfy those customers.
