Tick Tock: A Tale for Two offers a great escape game featuring a mysterious village, eerie environments with great atmosphere, varied puzzles and a somewhat bland open-ended story. Through various platforms, you and your co-op partner will be puzzling over how to unravel the escape from the eerie world for approximately two hours. However, if you don't have the coveted partner or don't speak much English, you won't be able to play the title, unfortunately.

5 / 10.0 - Sakura Swim Club
Jul 10, 2021

Sakura Swim Club offers a well-written, but rather hackneyed cliché story that is quite predictable. Over the course of two hours, you'll chew through a lot of dialogue, with only two characters Mieko and Hiromi appearing depicted throughout the game, who are also the only ones to receive dubbing. It's a shame that the writers didn't go to the trouble of at least portraying the main protagonist or adding dubbing for the other characters to liven up the story. The overall rating is saved by the graphics and sometimes funny scenes with ecchi subtext. If you have a decent personal and sex life, there is no need to indulge in this title. On the contrary, I imagine that for some, Sakura Swim Club is a relaxing diversion for lonely long evenings.

8.5 / 10.0 - Scarlet Nexus
Jul 9, 2021

Scarlet Nexus, despite a few minor flaws, is a great brain punk game that has everything that will make you drool with bliss - breathtaking graphics, a polished combat system with lots of effects, diverse locations full of amazing details, a perfectly fitting soundtrack, a heartfelt dubbing, and most importantly a well-written and narrated story. The style of the anime fits it perfectly, the characters are interesting, the cutscenes are action-packed despite the lack of animation, and the whole concept simply absorbs you. Technically, the game is almost flawlessly polished, and in sixty hours I never once felt the stereotype, but everyone may feel differently.

7.5 / 10.0 - Pumpkin Jack
Jun 26, 2021

Pumpkin Jack is an intriguing Halloween one-hander that, even with a low-budget production, showcases incredible quality, fun and an unexpected challenge. From the workshop of one young developer came a great game boasting the mechanics and feel of those old titles from the nineties. The question is whether it will have the same positive resonance with the younger generation, for whom the title may be a little harder. As much as I enjoyed this quest to plunge the world into darkness, I probably won't repeat it again right away, especially due to some technical issues that made the gameplay experience slightly unpleasant. Even so, the negatives listed below are largely due to the fact that only one person worked on the game.

Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead combined a post-apocalyptic world with logic, tactical planning and the laws of physics in practice. The forty levels will keep players entertained for several long hours, mainly due to their difficulty. It is the high difficulty bar that may soon discourage some players, as well as the need for timing and precision in not only building structures but also planning actions. Even so, this is a fun game at a friendly price, where the characters of The Walking Dead series are a nice change from similarly-themed titles.

7 / 10.0 - Dorfromantik
May 29, 2021

Dorfromantik is an unpretentious affair, where you spend hours, have a good time and suddenly find it's time to get up for work. Each failed attempt will force you to improve, and so the whole concept becomes a sort of endless spiral that you usually can't free yourself from, so addictive is this game. The early access so far only offers a basic mode, which while it won't get tiresome after a while, you'll still be looking forward to some small changes coming in the future. Bottom line, Dorfromantik isn't some big deal that will make you sit on your butt, but on the other hand, it will pull you in with its fun gameplay, unpretentiousness, and most importantly, charming visual style.

8 / 10.0 - Trials of Fire
May 23, 2021

Trials of Fire perfectly balances the quest for survival with the desire to explore and discover the game world. The generic wastelands of Ashen are filled with all sorts of treasures, mysteries and enemies, so there's always something to do. The combat will quickly grab you and you won't want to stop. It's just a shame the slightly confusing initial orientation to the whole system of controls, upgrades and fights will take a while due to the poor beginner tutorial. The map may be visually weak compared to the battlefield environment, but it offers so much that you won't know what to do next.

7 / 10.0 - Blue Fire
May 10, 2021

Blue Fire is a cute platformer that deceives with its looks. As soon as you turn the game on, you are chewed up and spat out several times by the relentless demands for precision and perfect timing. At the same time, be prepared for some rather tedious wandering due to the lack of any navigation. Still, it's 10-15 hours of fun that will grab you and just won't let go. The strong inspiration from other games is very noticeable here, without much effort to assert its own style, by which I could tell this is Blue Fire and not a bit of that from Dark Soul and a bit of that from Zelda. Don't count on a heartbreaking story, the game finds a way to grate on your nerves (in a good way).

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... is a great new version of the 2010 cult classic on a slightly more modern base. Improved graphics, environments, combat system, animation and dubbing add a new feel to the title even though the game isn't quite perfect. Unfortunately, the overall impression is somewhat spoiled by boring and repetitive side quests, as well as enemies or older game mechanics. The story, however, is one of the strongest you can experience in the game world. It and the well-drawn characters are the best NieR Replicant has to offer. It may not reach the same quality as NieR: Automata, but it's definitely worth it!

7.5 / 10.0 - Shadows: Awakening
Apr 19, 2021

Shadows: Awakening will definitely excite you and draw you into the game thanks to its fun gameplay. For over twenty hours of fun, you'll enjoy a vibrant open world full of mystery, monsters, legends, challenges, puzzles and treasure. If you can get past the aforementioned shortcomings, I can happily recommend the title. It's a bit disappointing that the game from the Slovak developer lacks Czech/Slovak localization.

6 / 10.0 - The Almost Gone
Apr 2, 2021

The Almost Gone offers you a complex family plot, which unfortunately you cannot explore in more depth. However, the miniature dioramas are very appealing and the whole aesthetic will make the gameplay experience more enjoyable. The puzzles are short, simple and definitely won't make you sweat. I would recommend the title to beginners who are just about to enter the world of puzzle games, given its low difficulty. For less than three hours of fun, the price of this one-shot is €9.99.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is not a bad title and you will definitely enjoy it. Unfortunately, a few flaws like weak negative characters, bosses built on the same principle or unnecessarily frequent challenges will spoil the experience a bit. Despite this, the gameplay is fun and the story engrosses you to the point where you'll simply take on the role of Komar and fight for your life tooth and nail. However, to avoid getting completely lost in the lore, we recommend playing the first episode first or at least watching the anime, which will illuminate the full beginnings that are referenced a lot here.

8.5 / 10.0 - House of Da Vinci 2
Mar 27, 2021

The House of Da Vinci 2 is a brilliant and well-thought-out game that can take four hours or more to play, depending on your skill level. The fun gameplay will sweep you away as soon as you solve the first step, and you won't want to stop. Beautiful graphics, Czech localization and dubbing will catch your attention... unfortunately, as it is usually the case with puzzle games, replayability lags a bit and the mystical atmosphere and the joy of discovery disappears on the next playthrough. If you ignore the sometimes fidgety controls, you can put yourself in Giacomo's shoes and combine the events of the first and second episodes into one.

7 / 10.0 - Inked
Mar 22, 2021

Inked is a simple mobile game to make your free time more enjoyable. In addition to beautiful graphics and pleasant background music, it will also offer you a strongly emotional story, at the end of which you may not be able to avoid a little tears. It's just a pity that we didn't get more challenges in the form of harder puzzles or longer game time. You can finish the title in 2-3 hours, which isn't much, but it's quite enough to convey a strong message. No matter what bad things happen to you in life, you just have to move on and not wallow in your pain forever.

ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights is definitely a title worthy of admiration. The overall concept, the graphics, the music, the combat system and the very idea of this gloomy and sad story fit together perfectly to create something unique. We will continue to follow this Dark Souls loli and look forward to the final full game, which has so far got a very good rating. Note to gamers of a weaker nature, swap out your keyboards and mice for some more expendable ones while playing this title.

The combination of dark fantasy, RPG, turn-based game, card game, strategy and roguelike is in itself a tempting game to play. Although it's still early access, Tainted Grail is very well developed and we hope to see a release date soon. Once you start the title, time suddenly ceases to exist around you and you just enjoy exploring and battling. Suddenly, you are horrified to discover that several hours have passed since launch. Great music and seriously fun gameplay have already made sure that you are completely immersed in this gloomy world and its mysterious story. Tainted Grail should also get a Czech localisation this year, based on the same themes as the computer game. If you're a fan of board games, you won't go wrong with Tainted Grail.

9 / 10.0 - Doom
Mar 7, 2021

Doom 2016 is definitely a hit and miss, and after the not-so-successful third installment, id Software's efforts certainly paid off. A return to the good old mechanics and visuals is exactly what gamers wanted from the new DOOM. Add a hefty helping of brutal carnage, hordes of enemies and hectolitres of their blood spilled, along with a hyped-up metal soundtrack, and you have a totally unique gaming experience.

8 / 10.0 - Feudal Alloy
Feb 28, 2021

For a shorter title that has a gameplay of eight to fifteen hours or more, this is a hilarious piece that is definitely worth your attention. The beginning may be a little difficult, but once you figure it all out, the entire run through the game is one big ride full of challenges and finding clues to catch the robbers and return the precious oil back to the village. Considering that only two people worked on the development of Feudal Alloy, it's quite an extensive undertaking that will certainly earn your admiration for a job well done.

7.5 / 10.0 - Voxelgram
Feb 27, 2021

Voxelgram is a relaxing puzzle game where it is not so important to think, but rather to have a good spatial orientation. Once you've figured out the game principle, you're just riding a wave of dice. It's exactly the kind of game where you say to yourself: "I'm just going to do one more level and go to sleep" and then you find out you have to get up in an hour. Too bad it's just the slightly clunky controls that take most of the points off the overall score.

Feb 20, 2021

It's a bit of a shame that despite the fact that this is the second part, the game doesn't have that much impact. Many players see the 2 as more like DLC that only increases the amount of levels you get, and I can't help but agree. If the developers added even the tiniest bit of innovation, be it in regards to the assembly itself or viewing the finished stained glass windows, it would bring a much-needed breath of fresh air to the game overall. Even so, the same applies as with the first part... for us, one of the better logic puzzles you can come across.
