Rexifirus Nightshade
Ember Knights is a brilliant throwback to the old arcade games brought to the future with its interesting gameplay and world design. The co-op feature is a great bonus and just adds so much more to the game. It just keeps getting better and much more diverse in options with each new run, and it’ll definitely keep you coming back for more.
With all this and probably more coming to Friends vs Friends, this game is one of a kind while taking on the basics of gun warfare as seen in online PvP games such as Fortnite or Valorant, minus the map size and loot boxes, while smoothly integrating deckbuilding aspects into the game. This game is a fantastically chaotic game to play with friends or solo that will keep you occupied for hours.
Liberté is a complex yet excellent fusion of multiple genres and incorporates, The French Revolution, H.P. Lovecraft, Roguelite, Deck Building, and Top-Down strategy into its design. This strange mishmash is what gives the game such allure and keeps players coming back for more. The game is very mechanic-heavy and can take some time to get used to, but once you get the hang of everything, you will get to experience a game like no other.
Showgunners is showing massive potential to shake things up in the turn-based strategy genre while maintaining a great story to keep you coming back. You’ll be made to think on your toes and sometimes outside the box, though this is also what makes it such a great game. The voice acting, visuals and general challenges in Showgunners pull it all together for a game that can appeal to everybody, making it well worth the time.
Even though Labyrinth of Zangetsu doesn’t have any voice acting or over the top sound effects, the traditional instrumental music makes up for that and more. The music in Labyrinth of Zangetsu plays a big part in the atmosphere and immersion of the gameplay, with several shifts in mood and tone indicated by the music as well. Though a bit more work on sound effects would help this game stand out.
OTXO gives you a sense of wanting to meet the next stage with more vigor like in the old-pixel games. Once cleared, you feel sort of proud as the levels are tough and get tougher as they progress. So give it a go and see how far you can take your run and improve your run times and scores at the end of each attempt, edging closer to victory with better results.
Not For Broadcast does have its fun moments, you don’t get enough time to appreciate them, and the game ends up feeling more like a chore to play. However, the Not For Broadcast: Live & Spooky DLC throws away the dull and monotonous gameplay and replaces it with over-the-top spooky gags that actually make the game fun, even for a short while.
Figment 2: Creed Valley is not just a game; it’s an experience. From the captivating story to the music that touched our hearts. It was an absolute joy to play and experience, and many others should as well. It touches on real-life subjects but also guides us through them. Sometimes a change of perspective is all we need to see the world from a different view. Figment 2: Creed Valley is currently only available on Steam, and we can’t recommend this game enough.
