SteamWorld Heist is another gem. The universe and its inhabitants are joyful to play with and kept me coming back for more. Image & Form took a bold step by not opting for the easy route, instead choosing to expand on an already interesting theme. Heist is as good as any full priced 3DS game out there; and in most cases, even better. With hours and hours of gameplay, it's a steal at just $16.99.

Steamworld Heist is an absorbing world wrapped around a decent game whose technical bits take away from a stellar personality.

A steampunk aesthetic with pirate robots in space who engage in an RPG/strategy game and require careful aiming from the player is exactly what SteamWorld Heist excels at and the marvelous audiovisual environment in which all this takes place only makes it better. This truly is a remarkable game that puts the players in the middle of the funniest steampunk space pirates adventure ever made.

SteamWorld Heist is a delight right from the very beginning. A beautiful stripped-back strategy game that ditches many of the genres bells and whistles in order to focus on the action, it offers an appealingly new perspective on one of the oldest genres in video games.

SteamWorld Heist is the best Nintendo 3DS game released in 2015, and its multiple difficulties ensure that both new and veteran tactical gamers can have fun in its wonderful world of robot pirates.

Imagine & Form proved themselves to be formidable developers with the release of SteamWorld Dig, but SteamWorld Heist just takes it to another level in so many ways. It's simple yet ambitious with a presentation as charming as its execution.

Because it's so different from the past games, the fact that it comes under the Steamworld umbrella is a bit jarring, but the whole Western cowboy theme fits in nicely with the game. The already great storyline is complimented very well by the dark-and-gritty atmosphere, and the beautiful visuals. Just like Dig, Heist can prove to be very addicting, primarily because it's so frustrating. But that is the beauty of it all; it forces you to learn right from wrong on your own, and it makes you better for it. Image & Form has done a great job with their hybrid title. Nothing really seems out of place, and it's something that I would love to see them continue in the near future.

SteamWorld Heist was an excellent game when it launched in 2015, and it's still excellent today on the Switch. Offering a familiar world and style with a new way to play amid the robots, it's a strategy game that belongs on every Switch

Despite the SteamWorld Heist's shortcomings when it comes to mission failure and inventory management, the game is a blast. As a lover of turn-based tactics games, SteamWorld Heist scratched that itch, offering just enough depth and strategy bundled up in a charming game. Difficulty scales rather nicely and you can always adjust it, which means the game is very accessible to everyone.

Steamworld Heist is what many would consider a AAA indie title, with Image and Form pulling out all the stops to craft a near flawless experience that's both fresh and unique. The gameplay may differ largely from Steamworld Dig, but it's a ride that's just as good, if not better. There's plenty of content to delve into in the base game, with greater difficulties and randomly generated levels serving up a new challenge to players who have already beaten it. For those who enjoyed the previous instalment, go ahead and pick this up right now!

SteamWorld Heist continues the series' tradition of being simple yet compelling. The game may be easy to grasp, but it delivers a nice difficulty boost that feels fair. The aiming system proves to be a great way to add some strategy to the title while also solving the limits of the 2-D perspective. The whole thing is fun to play, and with a good presentation accompanying a great game length, SteamWorld Heist is a worthy addition to any game library.
