South Park Snow Day is a fun game that is a perfect fit for Game Pass or PlayStation Plus. I’d wait until it hits one of those services before checking it out.

South Park: Snow Day is, ultimately, a huge disappointment. This is so far removed from The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole that it really shouldn’t be considered to be related to them in any way. Sure, there’s a glimmer of trademark South Park humour here, but it’s not enough to make the repetitive, dull and painfully scrappy gameplay any more enjoyable. This is a snow day you can safely sit out of: stay home and play Stick of Truth again instead.

The humor and imaginative gameplay make South Park: Snow Day a snow day that I never want to end!

South Park: Snow Day! is a good South Park game, but it's just a fine one when viewed without the license. The action is good, as is the inclusion of roguelike elements, but the camera distance can make the gameplay feel cumbersome. The inclusion of multiplayer is great, but the lack of local play is disappointing. While the different card combinations and level elements add some replayability, the presence of only five stages make the game feel short; the disappointment is lessened by the lower-than-expected price tag. It's a fun game, but you'll want to temper your expectations.

It doesn't make as much of an impact, but it offers what is needed to entertain.

Snow Day is pretty thin when it comes to both style and substance, offering not quite enough of either to hold up long-term, even with decent multiplayer support and interesting Roguelike bits.

South Park Snow Day did its best to captivate the essence of the famous adult-rated series but felt ineffective regarding its gameplay.

Put simply, I am hesitant to suggest South Park: Snow Day! to anyone who isn't a fan of South Park. In my opinion, the gameplay isn't solid enough for anyone to have fun with this. This game becomes tedious in a very short span of time. The jokes in the previous two games were a major selling point since they made the otherwise dull gameplay more interesting. Alternatively, the game's humor is nonexistent, and the gameplay becomes exceedingly dull.

South Park: Snow Day! It's a brief, fun adventure full of humor. However, due to the lack of depth in its mechanics, it is a game that only manages to entertain during its few hours of campaign. Even with its post-game content, it is unlikely that the title will be able to captivate the player to the point of awakening the desire to play it again.

Frivolous, farty, and gloriously chaotic but not the best episode of South Park. Snow Day is a mix of ideas all balled up into an action brawler. if you and your friends love South Park then some genuinely inspired moments make this worth taking the time to play.

South Park Snow Day is passable at best. If you’ve enjoyed the show at any point and are looking to see its characters and setting depicted in game form, you’ll be much better served by what came before it in RPG form. Those are excellent examples of how to carry a property through different media while maintaining its identity and still be fun and worthy of your valuable time on this Earth.

South Park: Snow Days! may sound like the comedy fans love and offer a solid story but finds itself lacking nearly everywhere else as this roguelike struggles to impress beyond its first run.

There are not too many games that can have fart sounds on demand and be so accepted but in true South Park form there are farts but that is the smallest part of the audio in this title. The audio of this game was spot on and felt like I was watching an episode of the TV Show. It was weird that I loved that your character “New Kid” never spoke once but everyone knew what was going on. The fact that the group of fellas would always break the fourth wall of the game, mentioning previous titles and the fact it’s a game was great. If you wanted to find one excuse to play the game the audio would be by far the greatest excuse and is a perfect tribute to animation and cartoon production.

Overall, I believe that South Park: Snow Day is quite a great time. It offers good replay value with changes to the game once you complete the main campaign, encounters seem to change when you replay levels, and it just offers a lot of that fun roguelike/roguelite feel we’ve come to enjoy from other titles. I genuinely believe that for the price point, get your friends together and I think you’ll enjoy yourselves a ton.

If this shows up on Game Pass or PS Plus Extra, dive in with some friends. Get as much enjoyment as you can out of it; otherwise, it’s hard to recommend to anyone other than the die-hard who MUST play every South Park game.

I tried not to compare South Park: Snow Day to The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole, but considering it is still a sequel of sorts, it’s hard not to feel massively disappointed with this game. We went from gorgeous and hilarious RPGs to a bland, boring, uneventful action roguelike with baffling graphical design choices, underwhelming controls, and an overall gameplay loop you have experienced dozens of times before. The sense of humor alone is not worth the admission ticket.

But as it stands we have a rather generic and repetitive short lived battle game that’s lacking any real gameplay innovation. The story is dull and there are not enough laughs.

South Park Snow Day doesn't deliver on any level. The typical humour isn't enough because the game just isn't fun at all, in every area. Also Co-Op can't rescue the generic fighting and killing because of the missing challenge. Even die-hard South Park Fans, should think twice if they want to waste 30€ on this.
