Critic Reviews for Among Trees
Among Trees is a game that ends up being more pretty than good, but then again it's incredibly pretty so that's a high bar to clear.
Among Trees is a delightful hike through the wilderness for those looking for an introduction to survival and crafting games, who are keen on much exploration.
With intuitive gameplay and easy controls, Among Trees presents itself as a game for everyone, though, it has low replayability potential. After finishing the full expansion of the house, the tasks become repetitive and there's no more story to be found. Despite the fact the developers made an effort to deliver a beautiful and pleasant game, they decided not to update its contents, something that upset a lot of people who eagerly awaited its launch. The end result may be as expected, but somehow the game still feels incomplete. We hope one day they change their minds and bring more activities and interactions with the environment so we can feel even more at home.

If you're thinking of playing Among Trees and you know you need extrinsic motivators to hold your interest, you'll want to wait until the Early Access schedule is further along. If you're down for a laid-back forest hiking game and you enjoy charting your own course just for the heck of it, give it a chance.
