We now exactly when DLC character Zooey will be released for Granblue Fantasy: Versus.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus' next DLC character, Zooey, will release on April 28th (thanks Siliconera). She will be the final fighter to come through the game's first Character Pass, following Beelzebub, Narmaya, Djeeta and Soriz. A gameplay trailer for Zooey was released, and can be seen here. The trailer gives a really good look at what players can expect from her when she enters the ring. Zooey will come with a Lobby Avatar, a Star Character Icon, and two additional quests for the game's RPG mode. Those who purchase Zooey will receive her exclusive outfit from the original Granblue Fantasy.
Also coming to Versus on April 28th is a new stage, the Jewel Resort. There will also be four new Lobby Avatars. They are Therese, Bunny Girl, Referee, and Bob. New episodes to Versus' RPG mode will release later this year as free updates. Episodes 41-45 will release in Summer 2020, while Episodes 46-50 will release in early 2021. It was also revealed that the game's soundtrack will be available on June 17th.
Finally, it was shown that the second Character Pass for Versus will start in Fall 2020. The first character to release through this pass will be Belial. Five more characters will release after him.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus is based off of the mobile RPG Granblue Fantasy. Granblue Fantasy celebrated its 6th birthday this past March, the same month that Versus released. Versus was developed by Arc System Works, who are known for the Guilty Gear and Blazblue franchises. Versus brings together many of Granblue's characters together into one arena. It features the hand-drawn animated art style that Arc System Works is known for.
