New faces will be featured in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2.
A number of new faces will be added to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 when it releases later this year according to the PlayStation Blog. These new characters are current pro skaters, and will come with their own stats, style, and signature moves. The new faces are Lizzie Armanto, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Riley Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Tyshawn Jones, Aori Nishimura, and Shane O'Neill. They will appear alongside all of the pros from the original games, who will all appear in their current ages.
"Modern-day skateboarding originated from a generation of skaters who grew up playing the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games," stated Michelle Bresaw, vice president of product management and marketing at Activision in a news release (via Polygon). "We're proud that the remaster will represent the skate culture landscape today with a diverse roster of skaters that will appeal to any gamer."
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 was announced last month. The game will feature the entire roster from the original games, as well as all of the levels and tricks. A good amount of the soundtracks from the old games will be featured in the remakes, though some songs were cut. The games will feature upgraded versions of Create-A-Park and Create-A-Skater. All of the original game modes will be available, as well as a number of multiplayer modes for those who want to compete against others.
It was revealed that those who preorder Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 will gain access to a demo featuring the game's Warehouse level when the games were announced. Today it was announced that gamers will be able to access the demo on August 14th.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 4th. The title will run for $39.99.
