Gamers will be able to get their hands on Pikmin 3 Deluxe ahead of its release later this month.
During a Nintendo Treehouse presentation, it was announced that Pikmin 3 Deluxe will receive a demo for the Switch tonight. It was also revealed that players will be able to carry over their save data from the demo over to the full game when it releases.
It was also revealed that completing the Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo will unlock bonuses in the full game. Those who defeat the final boss in the demo will unlock the Ultra-Spicy mode in the full game. Ultra-Spicy is a new mode being introduced in the Switch version of Pikmin 3. The mode limits the amount of Pikmin that a player can have on the field to 60. It was also announced that there will be other perks for beating the demo as well.
Also shown during the Nintendo Treehouse stream was a multiplayer mode for Pikmin 3 Deluxe called Bingo Battle. In Bingo Battle, both players are given bingo cards that they have to fill with different creatures and items. Players can sabotage their opponent by throwing Pikmin at them, helping cause a little bit of chaos leaning their way.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe was announced this past August. The game will allow players to journey through the main story together through co-op on the same system. There will be new prologue and epilogue stories added to the game starring franchise stars Olimar and Louie. There will also now be a Piklopedia, which will keep track of all the creatures that players come across. There will also be quality of life improvements, such as an enhanced lock-on targeting system, enemy balancing changes, and more.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe will release on October 30th for the Nintendo Switch.
