More details for Yuffie's DLC episode in Final Fantasy VII Remake have been released.
Details for Final Fantasy VII Remake's Yuffie DLC have been released (via IGN). The DLC will officially be called Final Fantasy VII Remake EPISODE INTERmission. Info on how Yuffie will play in battle was given. She will have a unique playstyle that will have her throw the giant throwing star that she is known for. She will have the ability to attack using long-range ninjutsu that can be enhanced with the elemental powers of fire, ice, lightning, and wind. Yuffie will also have an ability called Banishment, which players can charge with Elemental Ninjutsu. The ability will do more damage based on how much ATB was used before it. She will also have an ability called Windstorm, which creates a damaging gust of wind that hurts nearby enemies and launches them towards her.
Information on the characters that will be featured in Final Fantasy VII Remake EPISODE INTERmission have has been released as well. Characters will include the previously revealed Sonon, Zhijie, a "Wutain who acts as the point of contact between the new Wutaian government and Avalanche HQ." There will also be Weiss, the "sadistic ruler of Shinra's top-secret underground research center Deepground." Players will also run into Avalanche HQ members Nayo, Billy Bob, and Polk. Final Fantasy VII Intergrade and EPISODE INTERmission will release for the PlayStation 5 on June 10th. Intergrade will take advantage of the PlayStation 5's extra power, and will feature enhanced visuals, faster loading times, and 60 fps gameplay. Those who own the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy VII Remake will be able to upgrade to Intergrade for free, though they will have to purchase EPISODE INTERmission separately.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is available now for PlayStation 4. The game will release on the PlayStation 5 in June, along with Final Fantasy VII Remake EPISODE INTERmission.
