We now know when the next betas for Diablo II: Resurrected will take place.
On the Blizzard website, the date for Diablo II: Resurrected's upcoming betas were revealed. Those who pre-order Diablo II: Resurrected or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection will be able to join the Early Access beta, which begins on August 13th. Afterwards, on August 20th, there will be an open beta for Resurrected. The Early Access beta will run until August 17th, while the open beta will finish on August 23rd. The beta is for the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game. The beta will not be available for the Nintendo Switch version of Resurrected.
During the upcoming Resurrected betas, there will be five available classes: the Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, and Paladin. The other two classes, the Assassin and Necromancer, will be available when the game fully launches. Gamers will be able to try out both Act I: The Sightless Eye and Act II: The Secret of the Vizjerei. The fully remade cinematics for both Acts will be viewable during the betas. It was also stated that up to eight players will be able to play together in one game.
Blizzard stated that Xbox Live Gold will be required for the Early Access beta, but not the open beta. However, it will be required when Resurrected launches. PlayStation Plus is not required for either beta, though it will be required when the game fully releases. The progress of those who participate in the Early Access beta will be carried over to the open beta. However, that progress will not carry over to the full release. Both betas will support cross-progression across all of the platforms that they will be available on.
Diablo II: Resurrected will be available on September 23rd. The game will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch.
