The Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will no longer release this year.
On Twitter, it was announced that the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection has been delayed until early next year. According to the post, this is due to the ongoing challenges of the global pandemic. In order to alleviate pressure on the Life is Strange team, more time was given between the release of the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection and the release of the latest entry in the series, Life is Strange: True Colors.
"However, due to the ongoing challenges of the worldwide pandemic, we want to alleviate any additional pressure on the Life is Strange team by giving more time between the release of Life is Strange: True Colors and the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection," reads the tweet.
"For this reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection for all platforms - PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Stadia, and Switch - until Early 2022.
"We hope you understand."
The Life is Strange: Remastered Collection was announced this past March. The collection will contain the original game, as well as its prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Improvements are being made to both games. This includes upgrades in environments and character models. The collection will also feature vastly improved character animations, which will feature full facial mocap performance. Both titles will also feature updated and refined gameplay puzzles. Both games will also have improvements made to their lighting system. The Life is Strange: Remastered Collection can be purchased on its own, but will be included in the ultimate edition of Life is Strange: True Colors.
Life is Strange: Remastered Collection will release in early 2022 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Google Stadia, and the Nintendo Switch. Life is Strange: True Colors will release on September 10th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.
