High on Life is a new comedic shooter from the Co-Creator of Rick and Morty, and the team from Squanch Games. You're a nameless bounty hunter who must rescue humanity from becoming a drug that gets used by aliens across the Galaxy. Forget guns, though - you're going to be shooting (with) Aliens in the game.
Having moved up a few weeks from the previous release date, we've got the High on Life review embargo details for you now.
The review embargo for High on Life is set for December 12th at 6:00 a.m. PST. Head over to High on Life page for all the reviews when it drops!
Previews for the game have been mostly positive:
IGN - "You can (and should) stand around waiting for NPCs to say more funny stuff, because they absolutely will. Roiland told me that he and the Squanch team wrote a ton of material for this game, and that’s evident after playing a few hours of it."
The Gamer - "...even with the writing aside, we’re left with solid gameplay, great attention to detail in the levels, and a star-studded lineup of other voice actors to hopefully offer something fresh."
ScreenRant - "While the game's combat isn't the most complex, the variety offered by in-game weapons and how fights progress the narrative is satisfying, and some fights - particularly boss battles - still offer a fair amount of challenge."
TechRaptor - "Taking a comedic approach to any game is a daunting task, and even more daunting for shooters. I think the concoction Squanch Games is cooking up will be one of the biggest surprises this year."
High on Life releases on November 8th for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
