Night City is a dangerous place. Between Cyberpunk 2077's gang warfare, its numerous criminal enterprises, and the many wired cyberpsychos, the neon metropolis is not somewhere I'd necessarily want to be caught walking alone.

It's clear that the city's residents aren't too savory, but one player got the shock of their lives when they recently discovered that actually, Cyberpunk 2077's vending machines can be evil too.
Walking around the Corpo Plaza area of Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 player and Reddit user Away-Yogurtcloset733 headed towards a row of Spontaneous Craving Satisfaction vending machines, one of which was in use by another of the city's residents.
As the player's V got closer to the machines, the would-be snacker who was already there was jolted by a burst of electricity, causing him to fall to the floor and suddenly die.
After taking the guy's belongings, a quick scan of the vending machine by Yogurtcloset revealed that it had "damaged circuitry", which could have caused the fatal shock. Whether the circuitry made the machine conscious enough to deliberately shock the poor fellow, or whether it was an accident remains...
