Outside of mods and community creations, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim hasn't received any new content for over ten years. With tens of thousands of players still regularly hopping into the Bethesda classic, the want for something fresh is still as strong as it has ever been.
Project Tamriel's lead blames the cancellation on a lack of support from the community.
This desire for new content has led fans to come together and discuss what they'd want if there were just one more release.
The first suggestion came from EquinoxGm on Reddit, who had the idea of helping to rebuild one of the game's existing holds, like Winterhold.
This got the community's cogs turning, with players building on the idea. "Go take over several mines. Get people to build a fort about it with beds for everyone. Organize a farm inside, smithy if it's not metal ore, and supply runs so it's a safe uni," one fan suggested, adding that you could "Recruit stonemasons and workers to rebuild."
Recruitment and reputation were strong themes throughout this discussion. Do something good, "People flock to your new settlement/city," but try "to build a new place straight outta Helgen? Have at it, but...
