A major quality-of-life change is coming to Genshin Impact in Version 5.0, as players will be able to craft their own 5-Star Artifacts with a desired primary and secondary attribute. The randomness in the Artifact system has long been a source of frustration in the Genshin Impact community, as many characters rely on rare stats such as Crit Rate, Elemental Mastery, and Energy Recharge to get the most out of their kit. While other stats such as DEF%, HP%, and ATK% can be desirable, depending on the character, their flat counterparts are often seen as a waste due to the limited number of times that a player can upgrade an Artifact.
As the game evolved, and new regions of Teyvat opened up, Genshin Impact has frequently added Artifact Sets to not only support its growing cast of characters, but also introduce new ways to play.
