Monster Jam Steel Titans really isn’t much better than the other Monster Jam titles that have come before it and that is the tragic part about it.
I really was disappointed in just how every area of Troll and I just seemed to fail to even be half way decent. The whole idea was interesting but the far out of date visuals, bad and frustrating game design, boring story and all the glitches just make this game hard to recommend to anyone especially given the price.
To say the least, this game is underwhelming. It just seems like Nintendo really wasn't even trying with this game. It feels very rushed because they left out so many things – like a campaign and tournament mode. I found it fun to play initially, but I got bored very quickly. I wouldn't ever really pick it up to play again, especially by myself. The only thing this game is really good for is a bit of family fun, and that's about it.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 succeeds as a sniping game but fails at most everything else it set out to be.
The DLC is only 60 minutes long, and for the price you are paying it's just not worth it yet. When the DLC comes down to a much more reasonable price then sure get it for more DR3 fun. If you like collecting and doing other activities then you might be able to squeak 2 hours out of this content. The DLC was a let down because it had so much potential, it was lacking in psycho bosses which in my opinion is one of the best features of Dead Rising games. Lets hope the other 3 episodes are much better but at this current time I have very low expectations.
Beat Souls is a Japanese rhythm game that sadly fails in the most important aspects of the genre: it’s lacking rhythm, isn’t all that fun, has a poor tracklist and the visual overkill makes you cry rainbow-coloured tears (but not in a good way)
Much like the Cab drivers within the game, Taxi Chaos succeeds in driving its customers away. Unless you have an insatiable desire to play a modern-day Crazy Taxi knock-off, you’d best steer clear of this one.
Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing is a title better swept under the rug. It offers a barebone experience with little to no content and the only saving grace is that they managed to make the actual broom handling feel very intuitive.
NORTH is more of an interactive art-school short movie than a true game. It has very little story to tell and the visuals are often subpar. Luckily the audio is a redeeming factor and since it's so very, very short you won't have to spend too much time playing it.
It really seemed like Super Dungeon Bros was going to turn out well but it just wasn't to be. While patches could fix some of the technical issues such as the long loads or the bugs and glitches they probably won't fix the overly boring and simple gameplay. The fact that it's too difficult to play solo and the lack of an online community is going to hurt it as well. If you want a fun co-op romp for you and your friends then you are better off not introducing your bros to the Super Dungeon Bros.
Gastro Force wears its DOOM inspirations on its sleeve but it doesn’t do anything to elevate itself to being as memorable. It plays well and looks good but doesn’t have enough variety in the visuals, enemies, music, or weapons to really stand out.
I wasn’t too impressed with Cyber Citizen Shockman but I’m glad when obscure games get made available to a bigger audience. The movement and jumping just doesn’t feel good to play and because of that I had to resort to using the newly added cheats just to get through it. This can be a decent way to spend an hour or so jumping into the past but I don’t think anyone needs to rush out to play this.
Sephonie is an interesting puzzle-platformer but one that didn’t leave a lasting impression on myself. The sci-fi story didn’t do much for me, the platforming and puzzles needed more work to make them more enjoyable, and the visuals aren’t very detailed. There is plenty of options to make it so anyone can get through it but I think there are many better options in the genre out there to spend your time on.
Color Pals has a nice colorful art style and solid platformng but doesn’t do much to stand out in a crowded genre. It can provide you with an hour or two of challenging platforming action but it doesn’t have much variety and won’t last you beyond that time.
Ayre and the Crystal Comet intrigued me with the idea of being able to fly through an open world on a dragon but that world just doesn’t have much to see or do in it. The game feels good to play but it just needed more gameplay content to actually engage with to make it interesting.
Super Chicken Jumper is a fine auto-runner that can provide some short bursts of fun but expect to accept some frustration with it. Nothing about it really stands out for me to fully recommend it to you but if you got a few dollars to spend and want to on this then it isn’t the worst thing you could spend it on.
Garfield Lasagna Party is a Mario Party clone with some fun mini-games but ultimately lacks enough content to be worth recommending. I had fun with quite a few of the mini-games but there is only so much enjoyment I can get out of this when there is just one board, no online play, and nothing to unlock. It’s worth picking this up on a deep sale but at the release price I think you can find better value for a party game elsewhere.
The Dark Prophecy tries to capture some of that magic that old school adventure game had but ultimately falls well short. The visuals and music are actually the best part of this game and while the gameplay is solid it just doesn’t have satisfying puzzles or writing to make it fully worth recommending.
Sofiya and the Ancient Clan’s art style is pretty nice but everything else about it just feels average at best. The gameplay is mindless and forgettable and what is left of the fan service doesn’t even make much sense in its dumbed down form. This is another game from eastasiasoft for the trophy hunters as anyone else is better off finding one of the many other platformers out there for their fix.
I personally love a good side-scrolling beat ‘em up game but Samurai Riot: Definitive Edition is just not one of them. While the different schools and branching paths are some cool ideas the actual gameplay and technical issues left me feeling disappointed. There are a lot of other recently released titles in this genre that are just flat out better so you are better off spending your money on those.
