Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is exceptionally good and marks Ubisoft's best game in years - a shot of old-school 2D platforming action that jolts the franchise back to life.

7.5 / 10.0 - Persona 5 Tactica
Dec 1, 2023

Persona 5 Tactica's stylish, addictive gameplay and delightful chibi characters almost make up for the fact that the Persona 5 brand is starting to wear itself thin.

7 / 10.0 - EA Sports WRC
Nov 22, 2023

EA Sports WRC is a very approachable rally experience with a wide variety of modes, but for seasoned fans, it might be a bit too vanilla and lacking in thrills.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 brings some welcomed improvements to the gameplay and modes but a short, lacklustre campaign and uninspired Zombies mode hold it back.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a considerably shorter experience than Yakuza fans expect, but the energy and charm of the series is still here for a captivating detour until Infinite Wealth.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is pure, unadulterated fun and one of the best games on Nintendo Switch - a true wonder of game design that lives up to its name.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 isn't as solid as most modern remasters but the sheer amount of legendary content alone might be worth the price of admission.

10 / 10.0 - Alan Wake 2
Oct 26, 2023

Alan Wake 2 is an innovative, bolder, and scarier sequel that pushes the survival horror genre forward. Remedy have turned its strangeness dial to 11 and it's magnificent.

Lords of the Fallen looks and plays great but frustrating difficulty spikes and an undercooked narrative hold it back from reaching the heights of its Soulslike counterparts.

Sonic Superstars tries to revitalise the platforming golden era of the franchise to mixed results - fun at times with equal amounts of frustration holding it back.

7.5 / 10.0 - EA Sports FC 24
Oct 23, 2023

EA Sports FC 24 doesn't do enough to differentiate itself from its bygone FIFA branding, though that might be a good thing for players seeking a familiar and safe football experience.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 successfully builds on the first game with a stacked story, engaging open world and great improvements in all the right places - an almost perfect superhero recipe.

If you love your yearly fix or want to return to the IP without having to invest 100 hours, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is easy to recommend. If, however, you’ve been desperately waiting for some evolution of the IP, you’re out of luck yet again.

9 / 10.0 - Forza Motorsport
Oct 4, 2023

I'm left with a burning desire to share this incredible experience and run back for more. Forza Motorsport is more than just a piece of entertainment; it's a celebration of the love we all share for cars, racing, and the indomitable spirit of competition.

9 / 10.0 - Lies of P
Oct 3, 2023

For fans of Bloodborne (and Sekiro, to an extent), Lies of P is absolutely going to deliver on all those dreams of a spiritual sequel. It's a masterfully crafted Soulslike that doesn't do anything innovative but simply doubles down on what works - and shoots for the stars.

The Crew Motorfest manages to be an incredibly entertaining racing sandbox experience, despite the expected presence of Ubisoft’s monetization and trademark sterility. While some questionable design choices drag the title’s overall quality down a notch, my time in digital Hawaii was largely a memorable and enjoyable one.

8.5 / 10.0 - Mortal Kombat 1
Sep 19, 2023

Mortal Kombat 1 takes a back-to-basics approach to its combat, characters and story that rewards both newcomers and long-time fans in equal measures. It's a narratively satisfying, fresh restart that the series desperately needed after nearly three decades.

7 / 10.0 - Starfield
Sep 15, 2023

Starfield is a game that somehow enthralls me and irritates me in equal measure. On one hand, you’ve got a compelling galaxy-sized rabbit hole you can lose yourself in for hours on end, with complex questlines, refined role-playing mechanics, and that “new IP” freshness that makes it easy to ignore the flaws for a while. The problem is the more time you invest, the more procedurally generated content you experience, and the less rewarding the experience becomes.

Enchanted Portals is a soulless, disappointing attempt at capturing the magic and ingenuity that filled Cuphead to the brim. Its bland gameplay, frustrating controls, and erratic difficulty spikes (for all the wrong reasons) don’t hold a candle to the mostly pleasant visual elements on display here.
