The Mad Ones' episode lays the foundation of a potentially intriguing mystery narrative, part An Inspector Calls, part Murder on the Orient Express. The Social Influence system, if implemented well through the rest of the episodes, really could be a game changer for narrative adventures, evolving a genre that has needed fresh ideas for a while.
If you can look past the numerous bugs and glitches, then you'll find an essential experience for any fan of Assassin's Creed: Origins.
Deck Nine have again managed to find a particular point in time that feels natural to explore.
Beneath the surface there have been many improvements, but it's important to note that these are improvements to what was already a great game.
While these might boil down to being relatively straightforward ports from Wii U to Switch, that doesn't make them any less essential for fans of the action game genre and Platinum Games' work… unless you've already played them both on Wii U. Either way, with Bayonetta 3 in the works, the Switch is now the witch's new home.
If you liked Assassin's Creed Origins, then you'll like this The Hidden Ones DLC. You just won't like it for very long though, as you'll have it wrapped up in an afternoon. It's an add-on that is sadly both lazy and derivative, and when players are being charged around £30 for a season pass, I don't think its unjustified to expect a little more bang for our buck.
Rise of the Tomb Kings is a great first expansion for Total War: Warhammer II.
A Walk in the Park is indispensable for those who have played the base game. It feels in no way out of place, is an interesting locale to explore, and has plenty of new enemies to overcome. It's just a shame there's barely anything there for players who have completed the game in terms of challenge.
For a sports title that strives to be adventurous, Steep's year-old snowboarding gameplay is starting to feel somewhat limited. Pulling off a sick combo still feels satisfying (as does racing down the slopes at breakneck speeds) but there's a sense of repetition there.
Overall, I'd say Resident Evil Revelations Collection is the best portable Resident Evil experience to date. It's also the only survival horror game on the Switch right now and is equally enjoyable in the Switch's handheld and docked modes.

If you can play it on a more powerful platform, then you probably should.
Being able to take this huge adventure with you everywhere you go is fantastic, and, if you thought that Skyrim took over your life before, now it actually can.
If you've been dying to play The Sims 4 but don't have a PC that's up to the task, this is the perfect solution. It definitely feels different on consoles, losing some of its fluidity through the gamepad, but there's nothing else like it on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Those hoping for the same on the Nintendo Switch should probably avoid purchasing Doom for Nintendo's platform as it's easily the worst place to play it on.
Hand of Fate 2 is a welcome reminder that RPGs don't have to fall into one of two categories, and its heady mix of deck building and Arkham-esque combat make for a unique experience. Arriving on Switch it's found its perfect home, and its bite-sized story and action that are ideal for gaming on-the-go.
Okami HD is a classic video game, and this Nintendo Switch port could be seen as the best way to experience it.
Deep into yet another playthrough, I'm eager to explore Skyrim now than I have ever been before. Bethesda has proven yet again that there's still more life in its fantasy flagship. More importantly, it's proven that traditional games, no matter how big, can work in VR.
Curse of Osiris won't be viewed as the best expansion Destiny has ever seen, but its release will hopefully mark a turning point for the game as a whole. While the added content is nice to help bring people back into the fold, more important are the changes to add more reasons to keep on playing the game beyond this short story. There's still work to be done, but this is a start.
It may not be the most action packed in the series thus far, it's certainly one of the most memorable.
