If you're a sci-fi fan, today's announcement about the partnership between Legendary Studios and Funcom will come as welcomed news. The two companies have revealed a 6-year deal to bring the world at least three games set in Frank Herbert's DUNE universe. The games will be developed for both consoles and PCs, with at least one being an open world multiplayer game that will be going into production at Funcom in 2019.
Funcom is a long-time game developer behind several games including Secret World Legends, Age of Conan, Conan Exiles and more.
Entering into this partnership is in line with the company’s strategy of working with strong Intellectual Properties, allowing for two different vast and well known universes – CONAN and DUNE – to be available for the Company’s games.
We don't have any further details, but the announcement itself has us twitterpated!
