If you haven't had the chance to pick up Injustice yet and own a PS4, this is the best version to get. If you enjoyed the original game and are looking for a fighter on your new system, you can't really go wrong here.

With the enemy placement changed, it really does offer a newer challenge to veteran players, and while the double weapon degradation is really, really annoying, it can be managed. It's just going to take a lot of backtracking.

It takes a bit of skill to get the entire thing down, but Portal Pinball is a solid table for sure that I think Zen Pinball fans will enjoy. I recommend picking this one up.

There's nothing much that can be said about this game that hasn't already been said. It is a fantastic fighting game that still holds up to this day. It means something when it is the showcase game for EVO, the fighting game world championship

Unmechanical took me by surprise. Sure, we've all seen 2.5D puzzle games before, but this one really did a great job with the variety of the puzzles while keeping the main game simplistic enough to never keep me guessing for too long. The pacing is fantastic and the visual style is superb. While it may be on the short side, I still highly recommend picking up Unmechanical Extended. Like me, you may have a really fun time with it.

Aside from those two problems, the new South park tables are actually very well done. I enjoy a table that is easy to pick up and play, and the lane layout and mission structure make them a blast to play.

9 / 10.0 - Velocity 2X
Sep 3, 2014

Velocity X2 has a lot going for it. It still has that addicting game play, and it's still a fast game that is easy to pick up and play. The new mechanics are interesting, and even when I found them a little daunting at times, I still had a blast with the overall game play. It's fast, fun, and still addicting.

For pinball fans looking for more, this pack is quite the steal. Of course, Star Wars fans will get the most out of it, but even with the objectives being a little obscure, the casual pinball players can have a ton of fun. There's a good amount of content to have the pinball wizards playing for a long while. Zen Studios said they were bringing more tables, and they delivered.

9 / 10.0 - Elite: Dangerous
Oct 15, 2015

Elite: Dangerous is a massive game. I can't even begin to talk about how many star systems there are in the game, and you can go to them all if you choose to do so. That statement is both what defines this game as well as holds it back, but it only does that for the first few hours. The lack of direction is its biggest gift and its biggest curse. It is up to the player and player-base to make the fun for themselves. This is one of the best space sim games I have ever played. It can be a scary game, but if you let yourself get into it and really dig in deep, you will begin to see just how brilliant this game can be, just like I did.

If you've played the previous episodes in this season, yes, you really should buy this final episode. If you're still holding out for season two, do yourself a favor and pick it up. It's a tragic, surprising and entertaining ride.

It may go by a little too fast, but Season 2 Episode 2 is a fine continuation to the series that makes up for the lackluster first episode.

Firaxis has done it again, and when I thought after losing an entire squad of my best soldiers was enough to make me quit the game forever, I realized I still had enough Meld to make another mech trooper. Yeah, I had to keep playing. If you're looking to get back into XCOM, you just found the one reason to.

For $25, you get a fine fighting game that plays great and looks pretty amazing. Players who own the first iteration and the DLC may need to think extra hard if they really want to double dip, but fighting game fans that are looking for a flashy, complex, and fun fighting game and haven't tried this game out yet need to pick it up. I firmly believe Life is Strange is an amazing series, and I stick by this statement. This episode kicks it into overdrive and now makes the next month and a half wait for the finale that much longer.

9 / 10.0 - Persona 5
Apr 13, 2017

Persona 5 is one of the best games in the series, as well as one of the best JRPGs to come out in years. The story is well told and exciting while still being emotional, the combat is fun and really engrossing and allows for some great combinations, and the presentation is both stylish and really fun.

9 / 10.0 - Runbow
Aug 31, 2015

Looking past those issues, Runbow is a fantastic game that I believe every Wii U owner should have. It's great single player and even more fun with some friends, both locally and online. Without a doubt, this is a great party game that has all the makings for a must have Wii U title. I can't suggest it enough.

9 / 10.0 - Hue

I have to give it to Fiddlesticks Games. They have made a tight playing platformer with some pretty good puzzles using one simple mechanic. While most puzzles never had me stuck, they most certainly had me scratching my head a few times.

It was so refreshing to see a game like this, especially one that plays and looks as great as it does. Any fan of 2D action games should pick this game up without question, and don’t worry if you’ve never played this series before, I was able to enjoy it fully with absolutely no knowledge of it.

9 / 10.0 - XCOM 2
Feb 10, 2016

XCOM 2 does everything Enemy Unknown did and improved on it with more variations as well as some very interesting game mechanics. Anyone who enjoyed the first game has no reason not to pick this one up. It has a few performance issues here and here, but it is still a challenging yet rewarding game that made me have every emotion from joyous to devastated. One of the early game of the year contenders for me, and a fine game any strategy fan should own.
