5 / 10.0 - Pilot Sports
Oct 31, 2018

Pilot Sports is a huge disappoint to me. I've been waiting for a game in this style for a while now and so to finally get something with the flaws that this game has feels a little bit like a "Monkey's Paw" situation to me. If you're thinking though "Hey I bet it's at least pretty cheap", I'm sorry to disappoint you again.

In general I feel like this is a solid budget title with a fantastic course creator and a lot of options, but it's hard to recommend it to less hardcore fans of the sport.

7 / 10.0 - WWE 2K15
Nov 25, 2014

Any wrestling fan could name off a dozen guys who seemingly had the base necessary for a successful career; people who had the right look, moves and talent, but just couldn't put it all together. WWE 2K15 is a solid foundation that can be built on for the future.

8 / 10.0 - WWE 2K19

For now, this year's game fits solidly in the upper mid-card and I have an appreciation for where they come from compared to where they are now, and hope that next year they'll put the pieces together to really make something special. Which, honestly, feels about like watching the actual product around this time every year.

NHL does a good job of improving on several key areas from last year’s game without feeling like a completely fresh coat of paint.

Unfortunately, if you want to play those games online you'll inevitably hit a brick wall. If your plan is to play mostly offline you'll find a lot to love here. Hopefully 2K will quickly iron out their issues and give this game the infrastructure its gameplay deserves.

8.5 / 10.0 - NBA 2K16

Overall the improvements to 2K16 cannot be ignored. The gameplay is better than it's ever been, the presentation is fantastic and the expansions to My League and My GM are very welcome. For someone like me however, for whom My Career is consistently the biggest draw, it's hard to not be disappointed. My hope is that next year 2K addresses my concerns in this area and finally delivers what I would consider the perfect hoops game.

Let's be honest here, many of you are going to upgrade every year regardless of what is added or changed. For those of you that look for major changes before jumping on board, I do think this year's changes on PS4/PS3 are well worth the purchase

To say I'm pleased with my return to the series after a brief hiatus is an understatement. This feels exactly like the Show I remember with some fantastic additions.
