Overall, the game is not "terrible" but it just isn't for me, Game of Thrones fell short….The Walking Dead from the same company was much better due to the well-executed storyline that is used in the game. Game of Thrones has great voice acting, which was the only thing that caught my eye, but again there were too many flaws that just didn't appeal to me as much. If you are the fan of the series, whether you read the novels, watch the TV show, or both, I highly encourage you to play this game, if you have not read or watch either, do not expect this game to peak your interest in the series as it did not do the same for me, but I just don't believe that anyone who has no knowledge of this series will enjoy the game.

5 / 10.0 - Lego Worlds
Sep 25, 2017

LEGO Worlds is fun in small increments and I would be lying if I said this game does not hit the target audience's expectations. If you like sandbox games with open-ended gameplay, or are looking for a decent Minecraft alternative, this game is for you; unfortunately there just was not enough substance in the aimless gameplay loop for me to keep me coming back.

5.5 / 10.0 - New Gundam Breaker
Sep 19, 2018

New Gundam Breaker has more bad than good, the fascinating story and characters are overshadowed by repetitive gameplay, pricey Gunpla parts, and sloppy controls.

When factoring in on whether or not I can recommend this game to newcomers to the series, I honestly do not think I can; Devil May Cry HD Collection‘s re-release poorly-made compilation fails to show what made the franchise as popular as it is, while old fans of the series will be disappointed to see this game is nothing more than a rehash, and obviously, if you did not like the series already, then there is a high probability that this compilation will not change your mind.

6 / 10.0 - 2MD VR Football
Dec 8, 2017

Overall, 2MD VR Football was slightly underwhelming from what I initially was anticipating; however, this game is fun in bits and pieces. If you are looking for a cheap sports game and you just happen to love American football this is the game for you. Not to mention the game is only $12.99 on Steam so if you're looking for a game to test out and memorize the controls of your VR headset this will get the job done.

6 / 10.0 - Megaton Rainfall
Nov 16, 2017

Megaton Rainfall is not a terrible game; for an indie superhero title, it does a lot of things great, but the problem is that the few flaws that it offers make one overlook all that it does great. Nonetheless, Megaton Rainfall succeeds in providing the best first-person superhero gaming experience that AAA studios have failed to deliver so far.

The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR is a fun arcade shooter, but its short length, a weak story, and lack of scares hold it back.

When we look back at Resident Evil Village, The Winters’ Expansion probably won’t be considered an essential part of it for either story or gameplay reasons. Its story is short and the third-person mode takes out some of the scares. At least Mercenaries mode gets more Lady Dimitrescu!

The House of the Dead: Remake can be an enjoyable return to the classic arcade rail shooter, but performance hiccups and frustrating controls are scarier enemies than the zombies themselves.

Unfortunately, all the new things Crisis of the Planet of the Apes introduced are overlooked when you factor in its short length, repetition, and lack of exploration plague the title. For $14.99 I feel like you are not honestly getting your money's worth, even if you are a fan of the series. Nevertheless, if I was to recommend this game to anyone I highly suggest picking it up on sale. Currently, Crisis of the Planet of the Apes is available on Steam for $10.04.

Overall, Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package tends to cater more to casual fans of the zombie genre. As someone who loves the franchise, I cannot say that this game is neither good nor bad. There is plenty of replayability in Frank's Big Package, there is no denying that and while this game is inferior to the original regarding overall quality, the addition of Capcom Heroes as well as refining all the gameplay and combat issues I had with previous installments still made it enjoyable. Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package is a game worth playing if you're a fan of the series solely because of the new features, however, regarding the single-player story. it felt more like a one and done for me.

7 / 10.0 - FIFA 18
Sep 25, 2017

FIFA 18 is by no means a perfect game, the lack of customization and emotionless animations from players puts the game back a few steps, but this is not a bad game. Whether you have been on a FIFA hiatus or you are a long-time veteran, you should come back to this series — if only for the single-player content.

For $29.99, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality is a game worth adding to your library. It may have a linear design and a short length, but it is still a great game that stays true to the Rick and Morty IP, and I look forward to future Rick and Morty titles.

7.5 / 10.0 - Sprint Vector
Feb 14, 2018

Sprint Vector may have a lot of problems; however, I think the pros outweigh the cons, especially when you consider that Survios has redefined VR movement with its “Fluid Locomotion” movement. The real issue is whether or not Survios was able to tackle a big problem in VR gaming successfully: in a  reductive way yes — yes they did. Several of the cons found in the game can indeed be fixed in future patches, however, the most significant risk that the game tackled was in-fact the game's movement. A prime example of high-risk, high-reward, Survios's Sprint Vector is a game every VR owner should certainly consider.

Overall, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files is far from a perfect game, but as a virtual reality title I found it to be an ambitious as well as a good first virtual reality title for Rockstar Games. Sure, the game has flaws, but I feel that Rockstar Games has set the bar high for not just facial animations in VR games but in AAA games as a whole and I hope that whatever AAA developer/publisher decides to bring their IPs into VR carefully examines this game. If you own an HTC Vive plus a high-end PC, this is a title you should consider adding to your VR library.

Despite the short game length and few other minor issues, it does not change the fact that Blasters of the Universe is one of the most amusing VR shooters I have played in a long time. As I repeatedly mentioned virtual reality shooters as a genre is extremely oversaturated, but Blasters of the Universe is a diamond in the rough that is worth owning, and for its $14.99 price tag there is no reason why you should pass up on this distinct title.

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin may have a few hiccups, but these flaws prove to be very small and can be overlooked. After waiting almost two decades for a new entry, Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin may not be Psychonauts 2, but it provides enough substance and allows fans to sink their teeth into something new while we patiently wait for the next entry. Although the game's length is not very long, for $20 you are still getting a good game that, in my opinion, is worth the price of admission.
