Pranavsingh Dhunnoo's Reviews
Hi-bit visuals in an action-adventure game with RPG elements and alternate endings built by a team of two?! Need I say more?
As part of their “independent AAA game proposition”, Ninja Theory delivers a visually impressive game with a short but interesting story that touches on a delicate subject and couples it with some interesting mechanics that nevertheless don't fully condense properly together.
A great new adventure awaits fans of the series and those looking to try out Ys for the first time should have their fair amount of fun.
Not the best entry in the Dishonored series but still a rather enjoyable one.
Cuphead truly stands out as a unique video game, an audio-visual delight and as an appropriate ode to an era of cinematography long gone.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a proper adaptation of the comic that it is based on as far as artstyle, soundtrack and environments are concerned. However, as a lengthy, old school turn-based RPG and a narrative perspective, it is not without issues.
The Evil Within 2 felt to me like a major improvement from the more awkward prequel, particularly on the storyline aspect by including emotional themes and being more coherent overall. The mashup of open-ended exploration, freedom of playstyle, skill tree and weapon crafting/upgrade system in a survival horror game might sound like an unusual combination but is executed surprisingly well in this title.
Get ready to kick some Nazi ass in a high octane title starring a revamped Terror Billy, for the father of FPS games is back in action.
Crossing Souls relies too often on tropes and pop-culture references that it forgets what makes it good. A casual adventure game in a beautiful universe.
Past Cure is a prime example of the adage “never judge a book by its cover”. The trailer had me interested enough to play it so that you don't have to.
An uncanny addition to the Metal Gear franchise, Metal Gear Survive survives as a survival game but doesn't deliver as a Metal Gear game.
Adorable graphics, a lively world, a perfectly orchestrated musical score, and charming gameplay all culminate to make Ni no Kuni II feel like playing a gorgeous anime.
An 'Attack on Titan' wannabe that falls short with its repetitive gameplay and poorly developed plot.
Bullet Witch is a game that should have been left where it was: forgotten in time. It has some nice ideas, especially in its gameplay, but they are all poorly executed in a muddled plot with mediocre animation, making for a port that no one asked for.
'Forgotton Anne' has a little bit of each of cartoons, platformers, interactive visual novels and an overused mechanic but a whole lot of originality in a refreshing title.
An original murder mystery with surprising plot twists packed in a hack-and-slash action-adventure game à la traditional God of War. However the repetitive segments and a glaring omission of local co-op could have been addressed to make for an even better game.
Vampyr might not be to everyone's taste being heavily narrative-driven with its long dialogues, bland textures and repetitive combat sequences. But if you can overlook these little faults, you'll find a refreshing title worth savoring.
A light and fresh title that's a good enough reason for you to dust off your PS Vita and tackle it at your ease.
We Happy Few isn't a bad game on its own. If you can overlook some of its overused elements, you will find an original FPS with a gripping narrative, if you dedicate enough time.
A balanced title offering some proper fast-paced fun imbued in good humor, recommended for those who are looking for a fun game without too much time commitment!
