3.4 / 5.0 - I Am Setsuna
Mar 9, 2017

I am Setsuna is an enjoyable and more than competent JRPG, which while weak in story more than makes up for this with a strong combat system and fantastic presentation.

6 / 10.0 - Past Cure
Feb 22, 2018

As you progress through the game, there are so many twists and turns in Past Cure that you never really know what’s going to happen next. It’s also fair to say some of these twists and the settings they are based within, are a lot better than others. Past Cure has some fantastic ideas, although it’s almost as if developer Phantom 8 Studio is trying to settle on a genre it feels most comfortable with so has used Past Cure as a way to throw a whole load of them into one game and see which it likes best.

At the start of this review, I said “Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a game which flew well under my radar,” well skip forward to now and I can tell you Kingdom Come: Deliverance is my game of the Year so far. Sure it’s not perfect, with many glitches and an odd lock-picking and pickpocketing mechanic, but it’s the sum of the parts, rather than some of the parts, which makes Kingdom Come: Deliverance a great game.

Bridge Constructor Portal is a wonderful puzzle game. It’s challenging, well designed and it looks fantastic. The Portal elements are integrated as well as can be and the levels benefit greatly from this. It’s hard to find fault. Sure you will get frustrated at times, but that’s all part of the learning curve and so when you eventually do solve the level you’ll be jumping for joy, just like I was when solving those Portal 2 puzzles. I can’t recommend Bridge Constructor Portal highly enough, whether you’re a Portal fan, puzzler fan or just someone looking for something new, it shouldn’t be missed.

1 / 10.0 - Bravo Team
Mar 7, 2018

Some games are terrible. Bravo Team is one of them, unfortunately. That's not my favourite way to start a review, but there's no getting away from the fact that SuperMassive's latest VR effort is just bad.

Bridge Constructor Stunts is a mobile game ported to console and it shows. There is a lack of polish and it's all over fairly quickly. If you love the series you'll still get a lot out of this game though, as it's challenging, fun and there's plenty of opportunities to crash and set your vehicles alight, which is always good for a laugh.

3 / 10.0 - Island Time VR
Apr 2, 2018

Island Time VR might have been a fun pick up and play game had it cost £3.99 or something similar, however, there is no way I could possibly recommend you pay £16.99 for what essentially feels like a demo. There are so many better games out there which you should spend your hard earned cash and time on. It disappoints me to say this, but spend your money on something else.

9 / 10.0 - MLB 18: The Show
Apr 4, 2018

MLB The Show 18 is one of the most impressive sports games to date. It's packed with features and is friendly to those just starting out and those who are well versed in the world of baseball. It's a game with so many options that you'll likely be playing a year from now.

8 / 10.0 - Rogue Aces
Apr 11, 2018

Rogue Aces is a title which has that 'just one more go' feel. You'll try and fail a lot, but then you'll go back again and again until you eventually defeat the enemy at its own game and advance on their territory, unlocking new game modes along the way. Yes, it's tough, but stick with it and you'll be rewarded. No-one ever said fighting in a war was easy, but thanks to Rogue Aces it's bloody good fun.

10 / 10.0 - God of War
Apr 21, 2018

God of War is a wonderful, immersive game which has everything. The story is powerful and touching, the action is fast paced, the world complex and the presentation is truly stunning. God of War is one of the best games I have ever played. It's a masterpiece in every sense of the word.

The Swords of Ditto is a fantastic game and given the low price, I cannot recommend it highly enough. There’s so much charm to the design and so much fun to be had out of the gameplay, that you’ll be thinking about it even when you are not playing. The Swords of Ditto is yet another example of what a smaller developer can bring to the world of console gaming. It’s an experience which is not to be missed.

8 / 10.0 - Vampyr

Vampyr is a game which has certainly surprised me and I’ve really enjoyed my time with it. The RPG elements, player choice and combat all seem to compliment each other perfectly, which in turn makes for a very good game.

8.5 / 10.0 - Kona
Jun 19, 2018

I'm very conscious of spoiling anything should you decide to hit the buy button on the PlayStation Store, but I can say without question that I highly recommend you giving Kona a chance should you own a PSVR. I'm not sure how it plays without the headset, but with it, this is one of the best experiences I've enjoyed to date.

LEGO Incredibles certainly has its charms, but it just doesn’t hit the heights of some of the best LEGO games out there. It falls short with the length of its campaign and the lack of characters, but perhaps that more down to the franchise this game is based on rather than there being a lack of ideas.

The demo may only take a few hours to complete everything there is to see, but The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a fantastic introduction to Life is Strange 2. Thanks to new mechanics and abilities It changes the way you approach the game and I have a feeling the best is yet to come. Either way, we know now we’ll be hearing more from Chris and Captain Spirit and that can only be a good thing.

8 / 10.0 - Esper 2 (VR)
Jul 4, 2018

Esper may only be around two hours long, but it feels perfect for PlayStation VR. It’s tricky, but at the same time a lot of fun too. It also looks fantastic and works perfectly with either the DualShock 4 or PlayStation Move controller. It’s fair to say if you are looking for a puzzler on PlayStation VR then you won’t go wrong with Esper.

8 / 10.0 - Mugsters
Jul 16, 2018

Whether you are playing alone or with a friend, you’ll find a Mugsters to be a challenging and fun game. It looks fantastic and can be quite tricky at times but it has that ‘just one more go feel’ which will always have you coming back for more.

9 / 10.0 - Overcooked 2
Aug 6, 2018

There aren’t many great couch co-op games but Overcooked 2 is certainly one of them. Sure it may cause a few arguments and have you tearing your hair out at your fellow chef’s incompetence, but you’ll have so much fun playing this game you’ll never want to leave the kitchen. Buy it now, or forever regret it.

With fantastic action on the park and ever improving graphics, it does feel like PES is moving in the right direction. With a few more tweaks to the little things such as menus and team management screens, I see no reason why it can’t upset the big boys and one day become the football game on everyone’s lips. For now though it’s still a work in progress. Much like Steven Gerrard’s Rangers.

7.5 / 10.0 - Donut County
Aug 31, 2018

Donut County is a unique and fun experience. It's fun to play, is well designed and works well, without any major issues. The game costs half the price on iPad, but if you are a trophy hunter you'll likely feel £9.99 is still a fair price for all the game has to offer.
