Andrew Stretch's Reviews
A fun game for new or returning Resident Evil players. Will challenge a player to not only conserve resources and solve puzzles but to take on plenty of zombies.
A fun mix of a variety of different game types and a must have for any fans of Digimon. Even if you're not too into it the story is fun and the mechanics are extremely well done.
The N. Sane Trilogy brings the golden age of 3D platforming back to the PlayStation 4. This collection maintains all that made the originals great but also making them accessible to the newest generation of gamers. This is a must have for fans of the originals and younger gamers might want to get in on the crate smashing action.
A genuinely enjoyable experience that will have you going back to levels past story completion just to have fun in the colorful world Gears for Breakfast have created. A definite recommendation for fans of 3D platformers of yore.
The Jackbox Party Pack 5 has a game for almost anyone. While including one false start the rest of the games included in the bundle will be a great addition to any kind of gathering or party. Jackbox Games has done an amazing job with this bundle showing they're still consistently coming up with bigger and better ideas.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a fun and complex kart racer. Boasting mechanics that are now genre standards, CTR's return shows just how relevant it still is. With additional features to fit into modern times like difficulty settings and graphics, this is a must-have for fans of the original, and for anyone who enjoys kart racing with friends.
Man of Medan takes players through an epic choose your own horror adventure. Whether you're a fan of horror, or a fan of having a friend around to hide behind Man of Medan is an incredibly fun game. Supermassive's approach to divergent story and story secrets rewards players for pushing themselves to experience the Man of Medan in a number of ways.
While it comes in a small package the fun core gameplay and unexpected storytelling is worth anyone trying out, especially if you're into puzzle platformers. While Evan's Remains never gets truly difficult it still leaves the player wanting more past the credits.
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD draws players into an interesting world with deep combat and interesting monsters, while some aspects like late-game combat do leave a bit to be desired. Even 18 years later SMT 3 earns what praise it's been given.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are faithful recreations of the 2008 DS title. While leaving most content untouched the Quality of Life upgrades and enhanced features make this the best way to experience Sinnoh.
Halo Infinite does a great job of nailing what makes Halo work so well while expanding the gameplay, adding in new elements like an open world and new armor abilities.
Digimon Survive leans heavily into the Visual Novel genre and it pays off. For fans of VN or Digimon this story is one of the best out there. Combat is enjoyable but some mechanics don't stick the landing.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are an ambitious take and while the open world and density of the Pokemon world are nailed the story feels like a background element and performance issues are constant
Crisis Core Reunion is an excellent example of a remake. Crisis Core looks and plays better than ever before with updated controls and the story is just as good as the original if you're someone who buys into brooding anime boys. If you're wanting to refamiliarize yourself with Zack's journey or replay this classic FF title then now is the perfect time!
Ravenlok is a cute and short game where you play as a girl who stumbles into a magical world and finds out she's destined to save it. The combat is shallow but functional, and the game's charm is through its interwoven quests and gorgeous environments.
The Teal Mask is some of Pokemon's tightest storytelling, and introduces players to a fun new region. The performance issues are still a glaring scar across what should be one of Pokemon's better outings. (Review Policy)
Assassin's Creed Mirage is tight experience delivering a great example of non-linear gameplay, and a fantastic return to form. Unfortunately Basim's outing also emulated the technical difficulties we've come to expect from Assassin's Creed titles.
The Jackbox Party Pack 10 offers up mostly new games with one returning title. These games are some of Jackbox's best in a while and are sure to leave your party in stitches.
Children of the Sun is a unique FPS puzzle game that takes a dark approach to a fun logic puzzle of trajectories. While the formula does iterate as the game progresses it still left us wanting for more by the time credits rolled.
Sunset Overdrive is a fun and fast paced third person shooter. If you want to play a game that doesn't require too much and has a good sense of humor then you should enjoy this game.
