1.8 / 5.0 - Troll and I
Apr 14, 2017

Troll and I has a pretty big price tag so I wouldn't be rushing out to purchase it any time soon as the quality of the gameplay doesn't justify it.

1.9 / 5.0 - Shoppe Keep
Feb 21, 2018

If you put a good amount of time, effort, and have an amazing eye sight, then you might be able to get some good results from the game. It does have an unfinished vibe and there are a few bugs  that need a lot of fixing so hopefully the developers will be able to fix this soon (even though they have already started on Shoppe Keep 2).

The overall experience is limited and pretty shallow, however, as mentioned at the start, it has points for originality and educational purposes. This game would be perfect for those who are interested in the topic area of Christianity, but for everyone else, you may want to pass on this one.

It appeals to a certain type of gamer, one who embraces the challenge and has the patience to explore the lore which is waiting for you.

The saving grace for the game is the characters and their relationships with each other (especially between Javier and Kate). I feel connected to them and I want to follow them onto the next episode to see how they resolve the major cliffhanger at the end of episode 4. Fingers crossed episode 5 steps up it's game!

2.9 / 5.0 - City Eye
Sep 6, 2022

The premise of the game sounds great! However, the lack of attention to detail, the repetitiveness, and not having any big reward, lets it down. Hopefully this is a game that can evolve in the future because it is an interesting concept, but it isn't fully there just yet.

2.9 / 5.0 - This Is the Police
Aug 28, 2016

This game reached its peak (for me) about half way through when it started to become a little too repetitive and tedious.  The decisions you make do shape the story (initially) but only to an extent as you are basically forced into becoming a corrupted cop anyway. Instead of it being ‘choice driven’, I found this game to be more about skills management and balancing resources (no matter how corrupted you are) to make sure all parties you interact with are happy. The controversial content (racism, sexism etc.) may be a bit hard to swallow but it certainly adds to the story of police corruption and gives the game a different edge. I would say it is good value for money for the crime buffs among us, but not a must play title.

Dungeon of the Endless provides a nice mixture of tower defense, RPG and dungeon crawler strategy with a great gameplay experience. The game is challenging, unforgiving, and requires a player who is ready to fail in order to eventually succeed.

3 / 5.0 - Weedcraft Inc
Apr 22, 2019

Weedcraft Inc. is a good looking, multi-layered and detailed management simulation game. Given the length of time required to be successful, and relatively monotonous 'mini-games' I think you would need to be a fan of either the 'theme', or tycoon style games to get the most out of the experience.

It is cute and unique (with a very quirky script) but it still needs more tweaking from the developers. I personally would wait for further updates before I jump back into this game (and die multiple times over again), but if you are willing to keep in mind that it is still a ‘work in progress', then give it a go because overall it is still a fun game to play.

Although there is a lot of repetitiveness, My Lovely Daughter is a different and unique game that will pull on your heartstrings. Just keep in mind though, that this game is designed to upset and to disturb you.

I was worried that this final episode was going to let down the whole season (based on gameplay from previous episodes). Instead it was able to redeem itself and provide us with what was lacking before – engagement. It also also paved the way for the next season where hopefully we will see more of Clementine's story (which will make a lot of Clementine fans happy).

3 / 5.0 - Clockwork
Oct 24, 2016

As much as I wanted to finish the game (I only had a few levels left to go) there were just too many bugs, which resulted in a frustrating gaming experience. The concept is there and it is a nicely crafted challenge for the puzzle-platformer fans, but I would wait for Gamesoft to fix the bugs before purchasing the game. But if this is done, the story, the artwork, and the challenge will make for a great gaming experience.

For combat strategy fans who revel in difficulty and challenge, this game is a fantastic opportunity to perfect your tactics. The missions are long, complicated and will require multiple attempts to earn those all important medals and sense of accomplishment. For those short of patience or who don't like repeating missions, the basic graphics, poor storyline, and limited music will keep you away.

3 / 5.0 - Sheltered

Despite average graphics and audio, ‘Sheltered' really drew me in and I couldn't put it down.

Compared to animal crossing and other farming sims it is relatively basic. There isn't that much to do and I found myself spending a lot of time waiting… I love the graphics and soundtrack and I really did enjoy playing Deiland. But felt it was more appropriate as a pick up and put down type of game rather than one that involves longer gaming sessions.

3.3 / 5.0 - SYMMETRY

There are promises of patches from the developers which is encouraging, as to really get hooked the game will need an extra level of resources to keep you challenged. The setting and mood created by the audio and graphics are to be applauded and this experience certainly delivers a neat, challenging, but somewhat short, survival management game.

Holy Potatoes! We're in Space?! Is a very cute game that balances turn based strategy with lots of fun humour, pop culture references, and witty puns.  At times if you spend all your money and resources early on it can becoming frustrating and repetitive to build them back up (especially when you face the challenging 'boss' levels) but I definitely enjoyed the quirkiness of the storyline. It really is what made this game great fun!

If you were a fan of the previous two seasons and enjoyed playing as Clementine then you may be slightly disappointed as she is not the main playable character, at least not in this episode. But if you are open to a new story, characters and a fresh take to the series then you should give this a go. New players to the series will also enjoy it as long as you are aware that it is more story driven and your choices will not have a huge effect on the outcome of the episode (so far).
