Overall, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is a fairly solid addition into what will surely be a large franchise for EA. With a beautiful world, interesting characters, and some truly memorable missions, Mirror’s Edge easily surpasses the original. That being said, be prepared for an unrefined combat system and nothing remarkable to do once the credits role. During Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s sprint to glory, it thankfully only stumbles a few times alone the way.

Unscored - Overwatch
Dec 27, 2018

Overwatch is a near masterpiece in the multiplayer genre, offering a refined and highly tuned experience to veterans and newcomers alike. The memorable cast of characters combined with the beautifully designed worlds makes Overwatch a visual pleasure all on its own Combine this with the excellent combat and Blizzard may have made one of the best multiplayer games in the last decade. Whether it thrives to the length of the games like Team Fortress 2 is yet to be seen, but Overwatch won’t stop us from dumping hundreds of hours into it anytime soon.

Unscored - Dark Souls III

Dark Souls 3, is a journey I won’t likely forget anytime soon. While it was not as polished as its pseudo cousin Bloodborne, the amazing world design and mix of combat more than made up for this. If this really is the last in the Souls series, this was more than a fitting send off. This is a masterfully crafted game with both beautiful and haunting locations to discover, plunder, and die in. Praise the sun, Dark Souls 3 is a journey worth taking.

All of the new modes are quite fun and the grind for loot has been greatly alleviated by much-needed Sandbox changes. Whether your new, a veteran, or returning player, Forsaken is a milestone in the Destiny franchise.

1 / 5.0 - Ghostbusters
Jul 18, 2016

Did we mention that the game feels the need to constantly throw out winks and nods to the films? You can almost hear the game try to reverse engineer the script so it can get out another “there’s something strange in the neighborhood” line . It’s pandering in the lowest form and clearly fails to understand anything that made the original film a classic.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is an action game that is fun in the moment, but is quickly forgettable thanks to a poor story, one-note characters, and mixed visuals. While the actual gameplay itself is incredibly enjoyable, there just isn’t enough new content to justify this game’s existence.

3 / 5.0 - WWE 2K17
Oct 21, 2016

Overall WWE 2K17 is a game that feels like a wasted opportunity that is only saved by Universe Mode, a robust character creator, and some solid tweaks to the combat mechanics. However, the massive amount of bugs, disappointingly shallow MyCareer Mode, laughable voice overs (and lack thereof!), and heavy reliance on counters make it a less than thrilling experience.

Deadlight: Director’s Cut is a beautiful yet twisted game that feels confident in its own skin. It’s a game that offers more than slaying the undead, as the amazing art direction and compelling story was enough to keep me invested until the credits rolled. Even with some questionable combat choices and the odd spikes in difficulty, Deadlight is a game that breathes new life into the zombie genre.

H1Z1 may be the patriarch of the modern battle royale game, but it's not the best on the market.

If you can look past these issues though there is a lot of fun to be had in this strategy game. Despite having some wonky A.

Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel is possibly the weakest of all the Souls-Borne expansions, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. While it doesn’t reach the near perfection of those before it, there is enough variety and good ideas here to support a playthrough.

3.5 / 5.0 - Overcooked
Aug 29, 2016

Overcooked is a fun and colorful game that shouldn’t be overlooked if you have some friends to join you in the adventure. With some of the best level design of any indie game, Overcooked will constantly batter you with new challenges. However, with a lack of any online functionality that clearly handicaps solo players, this dish comes out lukewarm.

Despite these issues, Ghost Recon: Wildlands is still a rather fun game to play thanks to the sheer openness to each engagement offered. While the experience is almost always better when playing with friends, the poor friendly A.

7.5 / 10.0 - State of Decay 2

Ultimately, State of Decay 2 is a game that's fine to play on your own, but so much better with friends. If you plan to pick up this ghoul gutting game then make sure to bring a friend or two.

8 / 10.0 - Borderlands 3
Sep 18, 2019

Borderlands 3 is a complicated game to recommend. It’s a technical mess that is flooded with bugs and sports some pretty mediocre writing at times. On the other hand, it boasts terrific gameplay, characters, and endgame content.

DOOM for the Nintendo Switch is a solid FPS that doesn't compromise the core gameplay during the transition. Both the campaign and online multiplayer are a blast to play, however, the absence of Snap Map doesn't go unnoticed. The game's performance is generally solid, even if it does have the occasional frame rate dip and texture issues.
