There's a reasonably enjoyable game at #KILLALLZOMBIES' core, which makes it such a shame that it is mired by a variety of issues.

As a horror game, Nevermind is a bit mediocre. While there's a well-built uneasy atmosphere throughout the main levels, the lack of danger does remove a lot of the potential for being scared. Perhaps this could have been improved somehow with the bio-feedback but it looks like we'll never know on Xbox. An interesting premise mixed in with the aforementioned well-made atmosphere means that the game may well be worth playing for some, but we'd just recommend waiting for a sale considering the game's short length.

After a particularly good year for the first person shooter, Call Of Duty is not a particular stand-out, a far cry from the series must-buy status at its height.

For those who are simply looking for the best football game around, there are few better than Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 thanks to additions and improvements all over the pitch from the previous entries in the franchise. However, with only a small range of licenses and a lacklustre editor, those that value authenticity, an entirely reasonable demand considering that the aim of these games is to recreate the sport to its fullest, may want to wait a few weeks to see how the new FIFA fares before making a purchase.

If this year's PES is the old hand that is quietly improving incrementally, FIFA 17 feels like a hot prospect that's burst onto the scene with a new engine and a new mode in tow. The game is exciting and full of potential, but it has issues on which to improve in future instalments if the franchise wants to stand alone as the best. While it doesn't stack up to PES on the pitch, everything else away from it makes FIFA 17 a worthwhile purchase for fans of the beautiful game.

While there are a few minor nitpicks here and there, Hue is an easy game to recommend. There's nothing world-changing on offer here, but the warm and vibrant colours in combination with an intriguing narrative and satisfying puzzles make it a pleasant experience to play. Throw in the easy completion and it's the perfect game to play through on a lazy day or across a weekend.

Considering the combination of the two genres that make up the game, Crypt Of The NecroDancer will certainly not be for everyone. With a great and varied soundtrack, there's at least one choice to suit your tastes. The gratifying gameplay offers a real feeling that it is the player's skill that has persevered over all obstacles and there are plenty of modes to occupy your time. The punishing difficulty may put off newcomers to the genre, but those who enjoy rhythm games or roguelikes may well find a new obsession here... just be ready to die a lot.

A game that provides fun and challenge at a frantic pace, players should take a look at Race The Sun, particularly those who are fans of the endless runner genre.
