GreedFall is the next Dragon Age or Witcher experience in everything but name. Spiders delivers a fantastic fantasy action-RPG that you do not want to miss.

Superliminal challenges players to change how they perceive their environment in order to progress. This works both for and against the game. While it may take you a little to start thinking outside of the box, sometimes literally, it soon becomes second nature. You start to look for the things around you that can be shrunk, enlarged, or used in abstract ways.

The Surge 2 is better than its predecessor in almost every regard. If you liked the first game, you're going to love this one.

Need a fun, atmospheric, campy, and sometimes humorous co-op zombie shooter? Zombie Army 4: Dead War is pretty much a no-brainer.

There are certainly some areas of the game that could have used a bit more polish in this release, but I believe that fans of the franchise, especially fans the original Age of Empires III, will very much enjoy what is being offered here.

Overall, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is far closer to Until Dawn than Man of Medan was. It is a horror movie wrapped in a video game shell that makes for a thrilling, tense, and frightening experience whether you are playing solo or with a good friend.

Bend Studio really went above and beyond on this one and I appreciate the hell out of them for the extra care and attention they gave this PC release. They included features that even most PC-first developers often overlook and have set the bar high on other potential PlayStation to PC releases in the future.

Despite a healthy dose of jank, Dying Light 2 Stay Human manages to come out as a worthy follow-up to one of the most popular open-world zombie slaying games out there. Fans of the original won't want to pass this one up.

I would rank it right up there next to Borderlands 2 in terms of quality. The writing is fantastic, and the gameplay improvements, many of which were brought over from Borderlands 3, often put it a step beyond Borderlands 2. If you are at all a fan of the previous Borderlands games and their satisfying gameplay loops, you really cannot go wrong with this game.

IllFonic showed a great deal of love and attention to the Ghostbusters franchise with this one. Though it won't consume your life, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a ton of fun to play every so often with a group of like-minded friends.

Though a little unpolished in places, High on Life surprises with its fast-paced combat, enhanced traversal upgrades, and yes, even its humor. This game from Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland won't be for everyone, but it's an easy recommend for anybody that enjoys a vulgar, humorous romp infused with DOOM-style combat.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition offers plenty of new, next-gen visual eye candy with a substantial hit to performance. The small upgrade cost is an easy choice for console players coming from last-gen hardware, but PC owners may find it a tougher pill to swallow. Note: The extended issues with the PC version were not known to us during the review process of the PS5 version.

White Night is a curious game, even if it's a bit predictable. With its references to two distinct genres, where unexpected twists and turns are welcome and interesting, it instead plays it safe. The game's big redeeming qualities are its style and presentation but without much in the way of story and gameplay to complete the package. If nothing else, your morbid curiosity may help you to see this one through to the end.

6 / 10.0 - Bound by Flame
May 8, 2014

Bound by Flame initially seems like the type of game you would get if you threw some of the engaging and interesting game elements from The Witcher franchise in with the brutal difficulty of the Dark Souls series. In theory, this sounds like a gamer's dream come true. In execution, at least in the case of Bound by Flame, the end result leaves a lot to be desired.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour for the PlayStation 4 takes about one step forward and two steps back when compared to previous entries in the franchise. It's a game that looks and plays well but it's also a game that feels light on content. This entire package is then tied together with one of the most horrendous menu interfaces in recent memory. To put is simply: The game feels unfinished.

As the hours wore on, my love affair with We Happy Few began to chip away as more and more bugs and gameplay shortcomings popped up. The real saving graces for the game lie in its concept, story, and setting.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is so full of issues that it's hard to sit here and tell you that it's worth the $60 (USD) price they're asking. I would strongly suggest that you wait a few months to see what sort of shape the game is in at that point in time.

Through the Woods is a terrific atmospheric adventure title held back from true greatness by some disappointing character work and voice acting. I quite enjoyed my journey through the unquestionably unique environments and I would like to think that I learned a few things about Norse mythology along the way. This game took a chance with its focus on combining an atmospheric horror game with Norse mythology and it paid off for the most part. The price point and lack of "in your face" scares may push away many consumers, but the style and gameplay scored some high marks for my personal gaming tastes. For their first offering, Antagonist shows off a ton of promise and I would love to see what they bring to the table in the future.

At its worst, Agents of Mayhem is an extremely watered down Crackdown and at its best it's a moderately watered down Saints Row experience. The game's positives just aren't enough to make up for the rest of the game's shortcomings.(...) With so many better alternatives out there, some of them even made by Volition themselves already, there just isn't much of a reason to choose Agents of Mayhem.
