8 / 10.0 - Lies of P
Sep 13, 2023

I genuinely had a fun time through the ups and downs of my experience, and I could say that Lies of P has the potential of becoming one of the names that would immediately be brought up when talking about soulslikes.

9.5 / 10.0 - Hi-Fi Rush
Mar 4, 2023

We can argue that the game also got some advantage from being shadow-dropped which didn’t give people the chance to set expectations before playing the game, and that it came out in a time when some of the AAA releases had rocky receptions. But personally, I believe that even without these factors, Hi-Fi RUSH would still stand out and be known as the enjoyable game that it is. So kudos to the people behind Hi-Fi RUSH, it was really evident from the game itself that it was a labor of love and I’m glad to see such a game be made in this era. If you haven’t tried out Hi-Fi RUSH yet, I highly recommend that you do; you won’t regret it.

I would still highly recommend The Cosmic Shake to anyone, especially those who are already a fan of the SpongeBob franchise. I’ve already mentioned it more than a couple of times, but the sheer fact that I had fun all throughout the game is enough for the game to get a thumbs up from me. If I were to decide, The Cosmic Shake deserves a sequel.

It has been mentioned a couple of times in this piece now, but the success of Bloodhunt still heavily relies on how much content the devs will keep on putting on this game. They will have to strike the right balance and quality of the next new game modes, archetypes, and possibly game mechanics to invite players who are unfamiliar with the franchise, as well as invite long time Vampire: The Masquerade fans to try out this weird concoction. The concept has potential, the sparks just needs constant fanning to catch on to a larger player base and become the next hit battle royale.

4.5 / 10.0 - Ghostbusters
Nov 28, 2016

Finally, Ghostbusters’ price was the final nail in the coffin. Or the first one, actually. The price tag on this game is just too high for the amount of content and play time it provides; not counting the unnecessary hours spent because of how dragging passing through a level can be. Even while writing this review, the game is on sale but I still personally find it too expensive. Maybe it tried to ride on the popularity of the movie, which, in the first place, already got a negative reception even before it went out on the big screen. It’s a good looking game, but Ghostbusters is not a game we recommend to buy, so you may want to go look for a friend who already has a copy and play on it if you want to experience it.

Kerbal Space Program's selling price is moderately steep even during sale events, but the sheer amount of gameplay hours you can get from it is all worth it. The mere fact that there's some real science going on behind the game is telling us that this game is no joke.

6.8 / 10.0 - The Final Station
Sep 25, 2016

The story was built up in a steady pace but it lost its charm by the time it reached the end with all the questions it left unanswered. It’s something a future patch may fix by providing an alternate ending or possibly a sequel or the same game but through a different perspective. It’s just a short and relatively cheap game on the market and we recommend it if you have the time or if you are interested enough to crack the story yourself.

So far, there are no news yet whether or not it will be ported over to the WiiU or to other consoles but the game is already doing well where it’s at right now. Again, MHGen is a good introductory game since Monster Hunter isn’t really a lore-heavy game. If you are into action and you love hunting, Monster Hunter Generations is absolutely worth to pick-up.

9 / 10.0 - Tinertia
Jul 10, 2016

Overall, Tinertia really is a great and challenging game. The level designs are really splendid plus the game mechanics is simple yet hard to master. You're gonna die a lot and try a lot just to get through one level but the feeling of being able to own the course is spectacular especially that there's a replay feature to watch your feat. Tinertia is absolutely worth getting particularly if you are into such a fun and challenging game.

8.2 / 10.0 - Excubitor
Jun 26, 2016

Excubitor really did the execution well between mashing the shooter and tower defense genres together. Maybe it just had to redefine itself just as a shooter/tower defense game than a bullet-hell type of game and such a compromise with the gameplay is understandable for the mash-up to work.

7.5 / 10.0 - Infinium Strike
May 31, 2016

To sum it up, Infinium Strike still has some more things that needs some improvement. It’s not that far from being polished and there’s still more than a month before it officially goes out. That’s an awful lot more time so we can expect for more things to come such as other game modes and probably an additional upgrade mechanics. For now, we’ll give it a generous rating for being a challenging game in its current state and for having the potential of being a better game.

9.5 / 10.0 - Enter the Gungeon
May 23, 2016

Enter the Gungeon may seem too hard of a game to enjoy and may drive off a lot of gamers, but it's definitely on the top list for us. For one, the level of challenge it poses might be too high but the players are rewarded accordingly. It is a good time-killer because every run is just as fast-paced and action-packed as the last one, be it just a few minutes short or a full run of around an hour.

Paranautical Activity is a really, really challenging game to play especially for casual gamers. The visuals and the theme might not appeal to most of the gamers out there but the action it gives out might get some hooked up. The repetitiveness of the levels and the repetitiveness brought by dying and trying might get tiresome real quick and another downside is that there really isn’t much that the game can award the player besides unlocking an even harder level of difficulty plus some small plaques of achievement. Still, we recommend Paranautical Activity if you are into frustratingly hard but nice games.

8.7 / 10.0 - Funk of Titans
Apr 14, 2016

Overall, being a runner game, it does offer a quick challenge for those that are into the genre. The side objective of perfecting the stages is really not that hard to do but it definitely adds a couple more hours of play time. Also, the references and the humor used was light and it added to the whole fun feeling that it tries to give out. Funk of Titans is definitely a must-play that we recommend.

8.8 / 10.0 - I Am Bread
Apr 2, 2016

I Am Bread is a fun and truly challenging game if you don't mind the amount of frustration it brings. Simple yet it can definitely give out hours of gameplay, depending on how much it would take before you reach your ragequit threshold. I Am Bread is highly recommended for anyone to give it a try, especially those gaming masochists who are into these kinds of will-crumblingly hard games.

7.9 / 10.0 - Ronin
Mar 23, 2016

RONIN is fun and challenging at first but it doesn't last long. The lack of variation in its gameplay actually keeps the game's challenge level from rising significantly which isn't something players would expect for a game with a strategic vibe.

9.4 / 10.0 - LEGO Dimensions
Jan 17, 2016

Overall, I'm placing Lego Dimensions on my great games list. I've adored Lego ever since despite being just fairly new to the collecting part of it and I'm also fond of the humor that Traveller's Tales placed into their Lego games even way back when the characters didn't have full voice acting. So if you liked the previous Lego games, you would also like Lego Dimensions.

7.9 / 10.0 - Ceres
Dec 28, 2015

Ceres seems to be a promising space adventure game with a bit of simulation game feel to it with all the micromanagement of your ship and your fleet but it still seems to be far from being great enough to actually catch the mainstream audience's attention.

9.1 / 10.0 - LEGO Jurassic World

A nice surprise for all the Lego fans and the Jurassic Park fans, Lego Jurassic World lived up to the hype with all the hours of fun it has in store. So, without further ado, I recommend this game to all Lego enthusiasts and Jurassic Park enthusiasts alike. Lego Jurassic World is one game worth playing and replaying for hours.

8.7 / 10.0 - 0RBITALIS
Jul 5, 2015

To sum it up, 0rbitalis is a neatly executed game that would surely get you occupied for a while. It may have a very particular audience but it is still recommended that even players who aren't that familiar with the physics genre to try and experience the challenge of this game.
