Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is almost a "Mario Kart: Greatest Hits" with an absolute tonne of content in terms of tracks, characters and modes, you will be playing Mario Kart by yourself or with others for months to come. A must-buy for your Nintendo Switch!

8 / 10.0 - Metrico +
Feb 8, 2017

Metrico+ is a fascinatingly unique game that works so well. The little nuances and challenging puzzles make for a rewarding experience. Although there is more replay value through different challenges it does feel like it would have benefitted from little more length. Despite this small critique, Metrico+ is an intriguing, engaging and rewarding experience. Kudos to Digital Dreams.

8 / 10.0 - For Honor
Mar 4, 2017

For Honor is a triumph in bringing a new action brawler to gamers. Ubisoft should be commended for their willingness to try out a new potential IP and succeeding in doing so. For Honor's gameplay mechanics work incredibly well and although easy to pick up, will take much more effort to master. Further to that, the endearing and moreish multiplayer is also a success, despite its rough edges. The story is endearing and fleshed out through a good use of collectibles. It is also an absolute pleasure to look at. To arms!!!

8 / 10.0 - HoPiKo
Nov 10, 2016

HoPiko is simplistic and incredibly good fun. It's punishing, paced action makes you think and react so quickly you'll feel awesome when you succeed. Conversely, you will probably walk away from your console infuriated at times, but you'll come back for "just one more go."

Vertical Drop Heroes HD is great fun and has oodles of replayability. Given its low retail price, you will definitely get your monies worth for giving it a go. A fun and moreish experience. More of this please!

It would be really easy to phone in another "movie tie-in" money maker and do a really simple game that poorly handles and looks like mud. Thankfully this isn't the case with Cars 3: Driven to Win, it is a fun and interesting game with lots to do and a fun universe to do it in. As long as you can hear past the repetitive voice lines and the lack of online multiplayer. There's some fuel in this old engine yet.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame is another great game in the LEGO series. Although there are some notable technical glitches and one particularly irksome glitch rendering the 100% coveted score unobtainable, it is still worthy of your time and energy. Some great mechanics and welcome modifications to the standard formula streamline the experience in a good way.

6.4 / 10.0 - Feist
Feb 1, 2017

If there is any game that will make you see red, Feist is it. Although it looks stunning, the frustrating controls and near god like movements of the AI at times can make the game less fun than it should be.

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing through Oh...Sir! The Insult Simulator. It has some genuinely humorous moments, when the planets align and you get the perfect set up. The style and audio goes together really well too. That being said, it feels fairly limited in replay value and is fairly repetitious. It's certainly not a game you could spend hours getting lost in, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't dip a toe in from time to time.

6 / 10.0 - 1-2-Switch
Mar 21, 2017

1, 2 Switch is indeed a fun game in places. It has a number of games that really show off the tech within the Switch, especially the Joy-Cons, and the HD Rumble is particularly impressive. That being said, unless you have regular gatherings and spare cash to burn, it'll certainly feel steep at the asking price.
