65 / 100 - Airoheart
Oct 3, 2022

We like the proposal of Airoheart, an heir of Zelda A Link To The Past made in pixel art and with a good puzzle design. But execution fails in basic elements, such as control, that affect all development.

65 / 100 - Itadaki Smash

Itadaki Smash pays homage to classic arcade brawlers, such as Renegade or Double Dragon, but its short, there is no progression or learning curve, and shows some AI problems.

65 / 100 - Lust From Beyond

A disturbing game, based on the works of HP Lovecraft, with interesting gameplay mechanics and artistic influences, but somme technical issues. We like the use of explicit elements in order to make the player uncomfortable.

Fractal Fall´s first game is a decent aerial "shooter" set in beautiful levels and full of interesting, yet undeveloped, ideas. Flight mechanics are ok, but gunplay is too basic.

Override 2 shows great character design in its twenty (plus Ultraman as a DLC) giant robots, and the combat system is simple, yet fun. But the game has some technical flaws and the enemy A.I. is poor.

65 / 100 - The Falconeer
Nov 26, 2020

The Falconeer is a beautiful indie game, full of promising ideas, but gets too repetitive after a couple of hours. There´s a great story behind the aerial combat, but it feels underdeveloped.

We got the same feeling playing this game and watching classic martial arts movies. It is fun and combat mechanics are great, but it lacks variety and has some technical flaws.

This collection bring back memories from two of the greatest spanish games ever made, but gameplay feels outdated, the remaster fells short visually, and the use of gamepad is not implemented well enough.

Narcos is a simple "tactics" game, which some fans of the Netflix series will enjoy because of an interesting use of the official license. After a few hours it gets repetitive, because of its lack of different maps.

As a visual novel, 428 Shibuya Scramble is ambitious and makes a great combination of five different storylines. It suffers from the limitations of its own genre, such as poor visuals or little interaction.

Fans of the Games Workshop boardgame may find an interesting adaptation, but as a first person shooter, Space Hulk has many flaws: technical and gameplay wise.

Bridge Crew is pure fan service. Being a member os USS Aegis Crew feels amazing in VR, but missions are too limited, and technical aspects are too simple. Enjoyable if you find three more friends to share this voyages to deep space.

68 / 100 - Massira
Feb 27, 2019

Massira Whispers from the desert is a game about syrian refugees, which is quite simple in its mechanics, but displays a strong message and an interesting artistic approach.

Tales From The Borderlands is a very funny interactive story, with a great sense of humor and very interesting characters, at the height of this universe. However, the action sequences are not well resolved and all the dialogues (many) are kept in English.

70 / 100 - The Chant

An independent horror game that pays homage to psychedelic horror, which we began to see in the cinema of the 70s, and brings original ideas, but with mechanics that have become outdated.

‎A great "brawler" for Super Nintendo, unreleased outside of Japan, which to this day is still a lot of fun. Although the limitations of the 16-bit machine are noticeable, its sense of humor and variety of levels make it worthwhile, especially in local mode for 2 players.‎

‎A good collection of mental agility tests, with which to put in shape the different areas of our brain. Regarding the games that came out on Nintendo DS, Wii and Wii U, it incorporates multiplayer modes, both local (4 players in TV mode and 2 in portable mode) and online against "ghosts" of other players.‎

30 years after its release, Turrican is still a great 2D "run and gun" game. This remastered collection is extremely faithful to the original, and includes savegames, and rewind to make it easier for new players.

Ghost Warrior Contracts is an interesting stealth game with great long shooting mechanics and freedom to approach any mission, but it also has plenty of technical issues, from graphics to enemy AI.
