Spartan Assault is a title that only halo fans won't want to miss. Vanguard Games offers us a rather classic twin stick shooter, for a direct and no-frills arcade experience.

The Need for Speed series is back with a new chapter with high ambitions but the final result is not exactly perfect.

Instead of a real game, Job Simulator is a collection of interactive three-dimensional spaces, probably designed to represent a "first contact" with the world of virtual reality.

The new Homefront does not excel in any field, carrying the wounds of a troubled development. The gameplay is too rough, the AI unrefined, the campaign very short (unless you get involved in the tedious subquests). The biggest fault of The Revolution, though, is the decision to re-write the setting, trivializing the impressive work that John Milius did for the first chapter.

Bugsnax is a fun and light adventure, suitable for a young audience but able to intrigue even the most grown players. It tells a story of friendship and courage, but also of acceptance of diversity and peaceful coexistence. Meanwhile, it leads us to discover the funny Bugsnax, chasing the same curiosity that is typical of monster collectors at Pokémon. The game mechanics are simple and long distance not too diverse (a couple of extra tools and traps would not have hurt), but thanks to an ever-present script and some surprise related to legendary Bugsnax, ten hours on snacktooth island are more than willingly spent. The price is modest, the production commitment well adapted to the team's ambitions. It won't have a particularly bright imagination or impactful graphics, but from the discovery of the Formikebabs to the fight with pizzafalena, Bugsnax always manages to snatch an honest smile.

Yonder is a game based on crafting and exploration, it has clever mechanics, but it's never exciting. It's a good starting point for the developer team, which will, eventually, express its creativity in a better way.

So far, New World Order is the weakest episode of this Dark Knight adventure.

Rush of Blood is a simple on-rail shooter. It is an interesting introduction to virtual reality, but nothing more. The (few) hours spent with it, however, are sufficiently scary and entertaining

The overall structure of Brut@l is well designed, and procedural generation of the dungeons is good enough to present sufficiently varied floors. Unfortunately a the combat system is soporific and too simplified to entertain.

The idea of soulslike ready to approach dystopian science fiction was not only intriguing, but potentially winning. The incipit of The Surge clearly shows a great potential: despite some flows in the combat and growth systems, the game still manages to capture the player, awaken his curiosity. Unfortunately, too much of this potential is lost, due to a bad level design, poorly inspired environments, and a distressing lack of contents.

Darksiders 3 is a stable title but far from sublime, full of good intentions but partly ravaged by a vision not completely in focus.
Presented as the first blockbuster for PlayStation VR, Farpoint is an interesting title. The game starts brilliantly, astonishes the player thanks to an unexpectedly pleasing tale, and shows an impressive use of the PlayStation Aim. Being an peculiar combination of an FPS and on-rail shooters, the gameplay works very well, but Farpoint loses grip in the last part of its adventure. It runs too fast, renounces to present original and interesting situations, but also to narrate a strong and convincing ending.

Starblood Arena is a competitive VR game that proves to be fun and well-developed, similiar to EVE or RIGS. However, the game features few maps and game modes.

Yooka-Laylee is fun, but it is rarely brilliant; it's pleasant, but not always memorable; and never reach or surpass the glorious masterpieces othat inspired the team.

Eagle Flight is certainly not one of the best experiences available for PSVR, but it is one of the most peculiar. The control system, the sense of speed, the exhilaration of the flight and the style of production manages to create an interesting mix

Here They Lie is a disturbing psychological thriller, the digitization of a nightmare. The gaming experience is, for this reason, interesting and meaningful. Much of the credit goes to the virtual reality headset, which transforms this disturbing Walking Simulator in a hellish journey.

Champions of Anteria is based on an excellent idea but has too many structural problems. It is, in the end, a two-faced product, divided between a good strategic section and a boring action phase.

The Foundation is an honest DLC, which extends the main adventure by opening a narrative parenthesis that is not exactly explosive, but still solid and convincing.

Short but intense, the journey through Ariandel lands will entice longtime fans. Too bad for the very short duration of this (mis)adventure, that goes off in a few hours, voraciously consumed by those who have reached the endgame.
