We had reservations about Bravely Default II, which in the transition from Nintendo 3DS to Switch we were not sure would preserve the magic of the originals, but the final code managed to dispel most of our fears. Although the product is very derivative, as the newborn Claytechworks studio and Team Asano have not deviated much from the canons of the saga, neither as regards the classic plot and for the brand's historic combat system, square Enix's new proposal has nonetheless proved to be a solid and engaging JRPG.

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is confirmed as a solid and enjoyable JRPG, as well as a respectful spin-off to the main series from which it is drawn. The product boasts an incredible variety of arrows (both in terms of monsters and equipment), a more engaging story than the original and above all an attractive and less childish visual rendering.

Landed on our markets three years later than the land of the Rising Sun, from a technical point of view The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie is a cross-gen title that is not exactly avant-garde.

Unicorn Overlord is a peculiar product, almost indecipherable. Vanillaware's new SRPG has adopted a refined and articulated combat system that, although satisfying and engaging, may not suit all palates, due to too many automatisms and excessive micromanagement required.

Son of a troubled development and studded with "bumps in the road" even important ones, such as the change of engine and developer, Granblue Fantasy: Relink may not be the masterpiece that eight years ago it promised to want to become, but overall it remains an adrenaline-pumping and addictive action RPG like few others.

The pulsating heart of the product is in fact also represented by the wanderings of the hero through the brilliant licenses Disney and Pixar, capable of supporting and embellishing a fresco so undoubtedly epic but also imperfect, wounded by the gears of time. If we add to the recipe a frenetic and engaging combat system, the final result, in which the two souls of the crossover are mixed, therefore takes on a pleasantly bittersweet flavor.
