8 / 10 - Bayonetta
Feb 14, 2018

The original Bayonetta may be almost ten years old but that doesn't mean that its gameplay is any less amazing or that its action loses any pace. This new Nintendo Switch version also brings the advantage of mobility, as well as some performance improvements, which contribute to make it an almost perfect experience, despite the lack of new content.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut brings this well known name to a Nintendo system for the first time in an effort that features an interesting and varied plot, as well as a good combat system and a long lifespan. 8 / 10 - ICEY
Jun 18, 2018

ICEY brings to the Nintendo Switch a fun and engaging mix of platforms and RPG along with a very compelling combat system. As if that was not enough, the interaction between the player and the narrator is nothing short of amazing and despite Icey's rather short lifespan, the bickering with the narration and its incessant instructions more than makes up for the game's length.

Old Man's Journey proposes a unique experience that features an interesting plot, a magnificent visual component and a series of challenges that will quickly conquer the player. While its lifespan my feel short and its price a bit too steep, Old Man's Journey is another game that is more than worthy of an opportunity and which deserves its place within the Nintendo Switch.

8 / 10 - Flat Heroes

Flat Heroes may look like a very simple game but beneath its unassuming exterior lies a puzzler that features a very well designed progression curve, a fine multiplayer mode, an impressive amount of challenges and a long lifespan that stretches beyond that of its counterparts.

The Nintendo Switch has the privilege of having the first home console version of The World Ends With You, bringing its already known level of quality, art style, soundtrack and fluid gameplay to a more contemporary audience. Despite its upgrade, the game still plays better on handheld mode, as issues with the control make it less fluid and less practical on a television screen. Nevertheless, this new version has enough elements to stand on its own and both fans of the original game and newcomers are strongly advised to dedicate some time to this marvel of a game.

LEGO DC Super-Villains is a much welcome return of the series to a Nintendo console. If the main traits of the Lego games remain intact, it's also worthy of praise to see that the game brings along some necessary improvements when it comes to the audiovisual component and which suit perfectly on the game's well written and humorous plot, as well as on its variety of available characters.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition delivers what its title promises: a definitive edition of Dynasty Warriors 8. In an effort that includes a very rich amount of content and a good, interesting, and versatile gameplay, this immense effort also features a long and healthy lifespan, and while it could use some improvements regarding fluidity problems on multiplayer and short term repetitiveness, this is without a doubt one of the best versions of the Dynasty Warriors series.

8 / 10 - NBA 2K20
Oct 4, 2019

The experience of NBA 2K on the Nintendo Switch is nothing short of satisfying for fans of basketball games, thanks to its variety of game modes, fluid gameplay and the inclusion of the WNBA. While the experience is mostly top notch, the game's model of microtransactions makes it feel more like a blind gamble and can end up harming the game's standing. Beyond that, NBA 2K is a marvel of a basketball game and a welcome arrival to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

GRID Autosport is the best driving simulator to hit a Nintendo platform over the last decades. Its large amount of content, demanding gameplay and sensations transmitted by the HD Rumble feature all contribute to make this a very interesting work, which went to great lengths to fit into the Nintendo Switch, to the point of allowing the player to choose between a better visual environment or a better game performance. A very welcome entry in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Deluxe Edition features a good balance between exploration and strategy and a simple but interesting plot - when all these factores come together, the result is a game that does a very laudable job at keeping the player interested. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto is a game that arrives with a bit of a delay to the Nintendo Switch but that doesn't mean that it loses out on its main assets. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a more ambitious effort than its predecessor and it brings us a vast, open world, with a gorgeous art style, a great combat system, heavy emphasis on the plot and a great variety of creatures to capture. The experience is far from perfect, though, as its technical performance doesn't always go as expected. On top of that, the game world feels rather empty, despite this being more ambitious than the first game. Regardless of that, it's a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch offer on monster capture games.
