3 / 5 - Grow Up!

As a platforming and climbing game this is an entertaining one, just like its predecessor, but overly sensitive controls and an uncooperative camera mar the experience somewhat.

A charming game with a simple story. It starts slowly and is never challenging, and you'll spend more time backtracking than solving its puzzles. A good choice for those looking to relax with an artistic game.

The game starts out slowly, and there's a lot to read, and not all of it is interesting, but it keeps what makes the series’ what it is, from great characters and music, a story that starts out weird and just goes crazier from there, and a unique gameplay system of using clues to uncover contradictions and ultimately the truth. As the 6th main entry it doesn't add a lot to the series, and some of what it does add isn't always a success, but if you're a fan of the series then this is an overall great entry, especially its final case, which is also its longest and most bonker, and a must play.

Enhancements have been kept to a minimum, but the games in this collection still shine with their unique locations, combat system and brand of comedy, even if some design decisions, such as manual saving, have divided its audience. The first game is still a classic, but the sequel, in both its versions, is the one to get. Dead Rising 2 Off the Record is the most content packed one, and thus the recommended choice.

Still a unique game after 15 years of being released, and this version adds new modes and a level that is closer to a preview of a potential sequel. For those looking for a fast paced and challenging game, with equality quick and unique graphics and sound, this is a great game with VR as well as without it.

It might be short and a bit simplified, but it's also well made and polished, and one of the best VR experiences. A case of quality over quantity.

An interesting game due to its subject matter, and as a farming game it's pretty comprehensive, thus appealing to a niche audience, but in the end it doesn't do much as a game to draw in player the way something like Stardew Valley does. Its approach is to be commended, and to a large degree it succeeds, but for the majority of gamers it won't seem like an entertaining experience.

As a VR experience it's an entertaining one that benefits from being in VR, but it's neither one you want to experience more than once nor one you'll remember for long.

A beautiful game that succeeds in presenting a virtual world that you’ll want to visit and explore. As a full priced game it's lacking in length, complexity and polish, but as a tour of a virtual world it's entertaining.

A new direction for the series, with an interesting and rich world, great graphics and music, and a fast paced and intense battle system, albeit one that requires a bit of getting used to. The cast might not be to everyone's taste, and, surprisingly for the series, the story is the game's weakest aspect, which might be the price of going open world, but ultimately the game succeeds in presenting most of the series' core values in a modern format while keeping its identity intact.

Dead Rising 4 takes the series in a different direction that may alienate its loyal fans, and attract those who didn't like previous installments. The game now tries to give you as many weapons and zombies as possible, and reduces the challenge even further by removing story timers the need to save your game. Still a fun experience though, just not as fun as it used to be.2016

Just like its predecessor, this game will constantly charm you with its worlds and powers; and fill you with joy. The sequel offers improved controls, new moves, a bigger world and additional game modes. It's an excellent experience as you explore its world while manipulating gravity, and progress through its lighthearted story with rich characters, as long as you overlook the occasional control issues and the inconsistent missions.

A unique experience and a welcome change after the 6th game in the series. This is a game that combines what we loved about Resident Evil when it first came out, and a different prespective that adds another dimension to the horror, combat and exploration. This is a great and unique horror game whether you only enjoyed the first few installments in the series, or played through the whole series, or didn't play it at all.

Birth by Sleep 0.2 is the the best part of this package, with great visuals, music and combat system, and as a teaser for the third part it largely succeeds despite its length, and is an overall great bite-sized entry, while Dream Drop Distance HD is an entertaining albeit flawed entry. This package is aimed more at series veterans than newcomers, and is better experienced after the upcoming 1.5+2.5 bundle in March.

4 / 5 - Yakuza 0
Feb 1, 2017

A unique and refreshing experience compared to other open world games, whether it's the 80s setting, its various quests and the way it mixes seriousness with plenty of comedy or the brutal but never malicious fighting system. The only flaws are the somewhat low budget feel, but for those looking for something different, this is an excellent choice whether they’re new to the series or a veteran.

4.5 / 5.0 - Nier: Automata
Mar 6, 2017

A role playing game rich in unique characters and a multilayered story waiting to be unraveled, with one of the fastest and slickest fighting system in a game of its kind, against a diverse cast of bosses. All of this in addition to this year's best and most unique soundtrack, and this uniqueness extends to the gameplay and quest designs, all with the patented Yoko Taro touch. Its only let down by an unbalanced difficulty that robs many boss fights of their grandeur, and the sparseness of its world.

3.5 / 5.0 - Fast RMX
Mar 11, 2017

A fast and enjoyable racer that controls well, and for the asking price is adequate in content. With some improvements to its online play and a couple of extra modes it can become a much better game, but right now it's an enjoyable, if flawed, racer.

2 / 5 - 1-2-Switch
Mar 14, 2017

The number and variety of the games offered ensures at least a couple of hours of gameplay. This is a game that you'll use to show off the Switch to your friends, but the simplicity and general inaccuracy of the games and its lack of character limit its appeal and longevity.

An enjoyable game both cooperatively and competitively, with a cheerful 90's style look and feel and a decent enough amount of content. The simplicity and slight repetitiveness of the campaign, and the competitive mode not shaking up the formula makes it a game aimed more at series veterans than newcomers.

4 / 5 - Yooka Laylee
Apr 4, 2017

An enjoyable and varied experience that brings back the feeling of 90's platformers even if admittedly it doesn't add much new. Some flaws here and there don't stop it from being a recommended purchase both for platformer veterans as well as newcomers.
