Project Cars 2 is one of the most ambitious racing games ever, and a improvement of the first one in every way.

Pokkén Tournament DX is best described as a accessible fighting game that everyone can enjoy. With that said, the mechanics is still pretty deep, and the gameplay is just as good as the Wii U version.

Even if Forza Motorsport 7 is one of the best racing games this year, it does not quite manage to compete against Project Cars 2.

Gran Turismo Sport is packed with details, and have everything for making it the best racing game of the year. But the lack of content is a bit of a let-down, and resulting in a game that never reach its full potential. Still a great racing game, though.

Like the so-called reboot from 2015, Need for Speed Payback is better and more fun than it really should be. In fact, Ghost Games latest creation is the most entertaining Need for Speed game for many years, making it an extra pity that the final polish is missing.

If you want to play Doom on a big screen, this version is the worst choice by far. If you on the other hand prefer to kill demons on the bus, Doom for Nintendo Switch is a great choice. Despite some very noticeable cutbacks the core of Doom is still there - and it's thoroughly enjoyable.

7 / 10 - A Hat in Time
Jan 7, 2018

A Hat in Time is a love-letter to the platform genre of the 90's. It's far from as perfect as Super Mario Odyssey, but it manage to be both charming and entertaining – and is almost a must-play for those who have grown up with this type of games.

Monster Hunter World isn't the perfect game in any way, but it's a great first step for those who haven't played this series before. And with plenty of new content, deep mechanics and a beautiful world it will not disappoint the hardcore-fans either.

Two amazing action games make their way to the Nintendo Switch - and they're just as good as before. However, we really wish there was some kind of graphical improvements compared to the Wii U versions, even though the improved framerate in docked mode is worth a lot.

6 / 10 - Gravel
Mar 12, 2018

It is certainly not difficult to find faults in Gravel, but most of them are easy to forgive. It's a great feeling to put the pedal to the metal and just enjoy some great arcade racing. Rarely has a racing game been this fun and varied, although It could – and maybe should – have been better in a lot of ways.

Twelve years have passed since the last great Ace Combat game. Fortunately, Project Aces have ignored recent failures and instead delivered a game that might be the best in the series.

8 / 10 - Metro Exodus
Feb 16, 2019

Metro Exodus does the most right and is far superior to its predecessors on virtually all points. The semi-open world is lovingly built, as is the interaction with the side characters. What stands out most, however, is the dense atmosphere that constantly makes us sit on full strains.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is an exciting but unequal adventure. As much as we care about the characters, tickled by the stealth and intimidated by the rats, we are disturbed that everything is so linear and predetermined. Do exactly what the game wants – or you'll die. But despite the lack of real challenge, and a slightly over-unpolished finish, we can't stop playing thanks to all the beautiful environments, nice moments and thrilling scenes. An adventure well worth your time if the basic idea attracts.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is an improved version of a 10-year-old role-playing game, originally launched for the Nintendo Wii. It is possible to discuss whether the upgrade is sufficient on all fronts, but at least we get a bit finer environments, new music, improved character models and more thoughtful menus – and not least a whole new chapter. But above all, we get a role-playing game that, if you can forgive some outdated details, even today is one of the best the genre has to offer.

After four years, the Hitman trilogy reaches the end of the road – and what an end it is. Not necessarily story-wise, but game-wise, Io Interactive has cobbled together a fantastic sandbox that invites both brutal, clever and purely comic deaths. Depending on the style of play, the adventure may be both too short and too easy, but if you let yourself be sucked into the atmosphere and play quietly and methodically, there are plenty of entertaining hours to download for anyone who wants a smarter action game.

The Nioh Collection consists of two demanding games in the so-called Soulsborne genre, a genre that dances in its best moments on a thin line between extreme frustration and boundless happiness. The two Nioh games offer over 100 hours of just that; it is extremely difficult and frustrating – but also rewarding and fair. In the PlayStation 5 version, the two games are better than ever, but at the same time, the jump from the original versions is not great. However, if you are a fan of the genre and have missed the Nioh games before, there is nothing to doubt.
