6.5 / 10.0 - Mega Man 11
Oct 1, 2018

Despite being one of the oldest brands in the industry, the Mega Man saga has not offered many innovations since its first chapter's debut. Mega Man 11 follows this pattern by offering a great and very difficult gameplay, flawed by the lack of significant new features. If you loved the previous chapters you will definitely like the new one, but if you were looking for some new ideas and a better looking graphics you should try the demo before you buy the full game.

This remastered edition of De Blob 2 is a disappointing attempt to make the most of a franchise by reproposing the same game launched in 2011, without fixing the bugs and gameplay issues of the original product. If you like to color everything shows up in front of you, maybe it's time for you to give Splatoon 2 a try.

5.5 / 10.0 - Sonic Forces
Nov 13, 2017

Sonic Forces is yet another chapter in the Sonic saga that fails to bring justice to one of the biggest franchise of the '90s. Forces is not the Sonic game we were waiting for: trivial and too much easy, despite a difficult-to-manage gameplay that can easily cause frustration. SEGA must take a break and change direction in order to let its brand shine again, and we really hope that Sonic Team could find a formula to achieve it to make Sonic great again.

9.6 / 10.0 - Super Mario Odyssey
Oct 30, 2017

Take the freedom of exploring every corner as you did in Mario 64 and Sunshine, add the skill and precision required by Super Mario Galaxy and the variety of 3D World, and you'll get the huge Super Mario Odyssey, the celebration of the videogame itself, not just of the firm's mascotte.

The final result is a great experience which seems much different and deeper than before. A great game that could help you to enjoy the next few weeks before the next big thing comes out.

While the original game was launched in two different editions just a few months ago, Level-5 and Nintendo chose to release yet another version of the same game with just a few interesting additions. The software house could have released those new contents via DLC instead of launching a whole, full-priced package. If you already experienced the original game, the new addition are not worth the current price, but if you never tried the Yo-Kai Watch 2 adventure you should pick this new version to experience the "definitive edition" of the handheld RPG.

Considering that 14 years have passed, this remake of Superstar Saga is a recommended purchase for those who had never played the first and precious chapter of the series, and for those who have now deleted it from their memory and want to experience it in a revised, redesigned version.

7.5 / 10.0 - Yooka Laylee
Apr 20, 2017

Yooka–Laylee is an unexpected gift from Playtonic Games that proves once again how the 3D platform genre can still entertain after almost 20 years. Despite being very funny and inspired, the game has several flaws, with the camera and the control mechanics being the biggest ones. Even if the gameplay is far from the perfection, if you loved old 3D platforms such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, you will definitely enjoy the new Yooka-Laylee from Playtonic, but if you're new to this genre you might experience a difficult-to-manage gameplay that is not good as most of the modern platforms available today.

The first rhythm game we ever had on a console is finally available on PS4 with a porting that, unfortunately, offers a simply upgrade of the graphics. No new modes or songs are available in this remastered edition, with almost no changes or improvements in comparison to the original gameplay that, today, seems to be not so compelling. Such a shame!

8 / 10.0 - Yo-Kai Watch 2
Apr 3, 2017

Welcome back, Yo-Kai! The brand new sequel does still offer a different experience for those loving Pokémon, but with a simpler gameplay and battle mode. Collecting all the monsters and exploring the entire world is anyway a big challenge that everyone who loved the first episode will definitely enjoy!

6.5 / 10.0 - Blaster Master Zero
Mar 17, 2017

Blaster Master Zero is an old-style shooter based on the NES classic, that debuts on Nintendo Switch with a bunch of new features and bosses. The game lacks of innovation and it's much similar to lots of other shooters from 30 years ago, which might be good for nostalgic players and 80's lovers, but not so much for those wanting to try some fresh experiences on Switch.

7.5 / 10.0 - Snipperclips
Mar 8, 2017

Snipperclips is the perfect demonstration of Nintendo Switch's capabilities when it comes to local multiplayer: SFB Games' new puzzle game offers many fun stages to be played with your friends or when you want to have a break between a dungeon and a boss fight in Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

After more than two years, the last episode in the Zelda franchise has finally launched on Wii U. Despite some issues with the frame-rate and the lack of the once-promised minimap on the GamePad touchscreen, Breath of the Wild is a true masterpiece that every Wii U owner needs to play before "switching" to Nintendo's newest console.

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World gives a second chance for those who have missed the original Wii U version. The 3DS edition offers all the beautiful and brilliant levels already available on Wii U, with some small changes and new modes with Poochy as the main star. Perhaps not enough motivations to justify another purchase for those who already own the game, but definitely enough for everyone else.
