7 / 10.0 - Days Gone
Oct 22, 2021

So the next few reviews that will be coming out, I'm aware I'm super late on. In this case the review is Days Gone for the PS4. Days Gone is a 3'rd person story based shooter. It features a large open world, Story and side missions, different things to upgrade and craft. Developed by the Bend Studio the game came out in April of 2019 and just made its way to the PS4's streaming service PlayStation Now. In short go check it out, its a fun shooter with plenty of filler and things to do, its biggest draw being the massive amount of on screen enemies the game can handle (Even better on the PS4 Pro).

My editor, in his wisdom, warned me that this is a kids game - the implication being that I should attempt to be fair, even though this may not necessarily be in my realm. He had a point. Frankly, I thought Power Rangers were a knock off Voltron, and as a Voltron fan, I made it a point to not enjoy Power Rangers as a child - even though watching Voltron while being sober and an adult is significantly more baffling, in all honesty. So, I did what any responsible journalist-ish dad would do, and had my kids play the game with me and will only use their ratings for the game.

5 / 10.0 - Inmates
Oct 10, 2017

We had a chance to check out the game Inmates from Iceberg Interactive and I personally got mixed results. I like the story line and the game concepts, psychological horror is one of my favorite types. It allows you to question what is real, what isn’t and tricks the game is trying to play on you. This game has a lot of those elements with puzzles to solve and a plot that can be finished in around 3-4 hours. However where the game shines in the idea department the execution of these idea is what I found lacking.

Wait for Sale - No Man's Sky
Mar 6, 2017

No Man's Sky, developed by Hello games and published by Sony is finally here. No doubt plenty of you are and have been playing the game since its release, so is the HYPE train real? I'm not so sure, however I will say I never nor anyone I work with hyped the game up. We understood that this was an indie game with a cool concept being backed by a large publisher. Other people seemed to have blown what No Man's Sky is doing out of proportion due to the fact it was backed by Sony.
