8.7 / 10.0 - Quantum Break
Apr 1, 2016

Quantum Break is unfortunately not the savior of the Xbox One homeland, a role that I don't think it has ever aspired to. That said, Remedy's new work is excellent from many points of view, particularly when the spotlight is put on the storytelling and the hatching of the characters, two things that the house of Sam Lake can do very well and that here were even more complicated to bring home successfully, given the slippery terrain of temporal paradoxes on which the plot continually rests its foundations. The action phases are also embellished with good ideas, but automatic coverages generate problems too frequently for them not to be taken into account in the judgment phase. I also appreciated the good integration between the parts played and the episodes of the TV series: a combination that almost unexpectedly works great, probably due to the aforementioned experience of Remedy in knowing how to tell good stories, as well as for the skill. of the actors involved.

Hands down, Uncharted 4 is the best title ever developed by Naughty Dog, and not just because of the stunning graphics. A wonderful balance between storytelling and gameplay, even better than the previous installments, pushing the boundaries of engagement and sheer fun. There’s no better way to say it: if you own a PlayStation 4, you must play this game.

8.2 / 10.0 - Overwatch
May 31, 2016

Suming up such a title is complicated. Overwatch betrays its "evolving" product nature a bit and it is evident, although blizzard's boys will never admit it, that it was initially conceived as a free to play product, and then changed clothes during the work. At the moment we have in our hands a damn funny video game – and it does not rain on us on this – regardless of the platform in your possession.

9.3 / 10.0 - INSIDE
Jul 7, 2016

You have to be in the right soul to play Inside. It takes a good breath before the dive, the silence and the predisposition not to ask too many questions about what will happen around our fearful protagonist. As was the case in Limbo, here too we are facing a journey to freedom and it is inevitable to see immediately the points of contact between the two games; however, step by step the similarities thin and Inside's identity emerges in all its arrogance, until it sublimates in the final lysegic.

Skyrim has lost none of the original charm, even in the face of a successful porting so from a technical point of view. If you have never dressed as dragon blood, then this Special Edition falls perfectly and offers you dozens, if not hundreds of hours of content, complete with support for mods, even on consoles.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a sort of mythical experience, that kind of trip where you end up asking yourself if the God of videogames truly exists, and if it does, it may have the face of Shigeru Miyamoto. A huge open world that keeps enchanting the player every step of the way, well beyond the end of the game. Breath of the Wild is the best Zelda ever made, and one of the best videogames of all time.

The main concept of Mario Sports Superstars is not a bad one: five intriguing sports (some of them already played in their stand-alone versions), for a title specifically designed for multiplayer. Unfortunately, there's not too much content to go on, and the multiplayer itself could have been handled much, much better.

Shards of Darkness could have been an amazing stealth game, thanks to a witty and cynical main character, a wonderful level design and a lot of skills and perks. Unfortunately, the experience is partially ruined by a sub-par AI and some flaws in the control system.

5.5 / 10.0 - 1-2-Switch
Mar 13, 2017

The real problem with 1-2-Switch is the steep price: 50 bucks is a lot of money for a bunch of cute minigames (half of which are meh). There are some occasions when 1-2-Switch shows the great potential of the new Nintendo console, but it's not enough to justify the buy.

We desperately tried to like FlatOut 4, but we simply couldn't. Despite some fun game modes and a decent multiplayer offering, the gameplay is sooo confusing, and bugs abound all around. Well, the steep price doesn't help either.

7.7 / 10.0 - Snake Pass
Apr 4, 2017

Snake Pass has a colorful look, a cute character, and a truly inspired level design. It's also very difficult, and not in a good way: the peculiar control system and the physics of the slithering creature can test your patience at times. It's a good platform game, but you're gonna need a lot of patience and self control.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is the last of a long list of collections of the main titles of the series. If you're a long time fan, you'll find it completely worthless. If you never played any of them, though, and you're looking to catch up before the release of Kingdom Hearts III, this could be your lifeline.

This is one of the sloppiest porting ever made, full of bugs, crashes and framerate drops. This is especially unfortunate, because LEGO City Undercover is probably the funniest LEGO title ever made by TT Games. Our suggestion? Wait for a solid patch, a price drop or a sale.

9.5 / 10.0 - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Apr 23, 2017

This is undoubtedly the biggest, funniest and best Mario Kart ever. If you already have the new Nintendo console, well, it's a no-brainer, really. If you don't, well, it could be the right time to Switch.

8.6 / 10.0 - LocoRoco Remastered
May 14, 2017

Eleven years have passed, but LocoRoco is still wonderful to look and enjoyable to play. The level design is top-notch, and the art direction is truly beautiful. It could've been a perfect game, were it for some minor flaws in the control system.

9.7 / 10.0 - Super Mario Odyssey
Nov 8, 2017

Super Mario Odyssey is a true expression of joy: a vibrant explosion of colours, surprises, wonderful design and excellent gameplay. It's a perfect match between the past and the future: it makes you feel immediately at home, yet at the same time it's a constant offering of something new and exciting. If you were looking for an excuse to buy a Nintendo Switch, well, look no further.

Nintendo Switch can finally boast a great JRPG within its remarkable roster. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a game that every fan of the genre should play. There are some minor flaws, such as the great chaos ensuing during some battles, but the combat system is deep and rewarding, and the story and the characters are great. Well done, Monolith Soft, well done.

[Bayonneta] can be appreciated wherever you want, with a solid and granitic 60 fps, and a better visual experience on the go. The remastered version of Bayonetta 2 is a moral imperative for every owner of the Nintendo Switch who didn't play the most stylish and crazy action series of all time.

9 / 10.0 - Bayonetta 2
Feb 14, 2018

The remastered version of Bayonetta 2 is a moral imperative for every owner of the Nintendo Switch who didn't play the most stylish and crazy action series of all time. There are some issues with the framerate here and there (especially in the exploration sequences), and the screen of the console has a better image quality than the TV. Nonetheless, a must-have for every action fan out there.
