8 / 10.0 - That's You!
Aug 2, 2017

That's you, the first title in the PlayLink series, has gameplay that works flawlessly, great production values, and astounding attention to detail. If you have a party of close friends with a healthy dose of self-irony, it can be an excellent filler for your nights together.

8.5 / 10.0 - Pyre
Aug 11, 2017

Supergiant Games just gave us another gem: despite some verbose sections and the amount of text to read (that can be overwhelming at times), Pyre has a sophisticated art direction, a compelling and charming story, and an original and unique take on the RPG genre.

9 / 10.0 - F1 2017

Codemasters has finally completed the transformation process of F1 series: F1 2017 is exactly what a fan should expect from a perfect simcade racing game, despite the Ego Engine is almost at the end of its life. Buy it, play it and enjoy it: you will not regret.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a very bold game that manages to talk about mental issues in a truly emotional way, using the gameplay dynamics of an action adventure. It's an authentic manifesto of how videogames can deal with serious matters in a way that fits perfectly the medium. And if you'll decide to go along with Senua in her descent to darkness, you'll probably remember her for the rest of your life.

8.4 / 10.0 - Last Day of June
Aug 28, 2017

Last Day of June is an intimate and moving adventure, yet elegant and sophisticated. Albeit a linear structure and some minor gameplay flaws, it's a game that tells an extremely human story, with some unexpected surprises, and where the gameplay drives the narrative. A shining example of how videogames can be an authentic expression of emotions.

8 / 10.0 - Everybody's Golf
Aug 31, 2017

Everybody's Golf is joyful, fun and packed of amazing things to do. Clap Hanz reinvented its take on golf with a gripping online mode and a very functional ability progression system without losing the "easy to learn, hard to master" attitude of the series. The game lacks on the technical side, but it's fun to play and is really meant for everyone, so if you don't hate to spend time on the green, Everybody's Golf is really worth playing.

8.7 / 10.0 - Project CARS 2
Sep 17, 2017

Project CARS 2 is still a rough diamond, but with a couple of patches Slightly Mad Studios could unleash all the potential of a real racing sim gem. Out of the box, anyway, the game offers one of the best race experiences on the market, with a great driving model which is amazing, played both with a joypad and a racing wheel. Sometimes the AI is still too aggressive and hits too hard on the throttle even when it should not, and the Rallycross experience is quite clumsy, but overall, with this great offer of tracks and cars, if you love to race in every possible weather condition and you want to feel the real meaning of bagarre, Project CARS 2 is definitely your brutal, physical and thrilling racing game.

7.8 / 10.0 - Windjammers
Sep 18, 2017

The PS4 version of Windjammers is a perfect replica of the legendary Neo Geo game, with the added bonus of the online multiplayer. It still stands the test of time, but it's best played with some friends over a couple of drinks.

9.2 / 10.0 - NBA 2K18
Sep 21, 2017

A new defensive approach, a new mode and a bunch of fixes are just a few of the spearheads of NBA 2K18, a game that's very easy to learn, but very very difficult to master indeed. The best title of the series without any doubt, and one of the best sports titles published thus far.

7.4 / 10.0 - Absolver
Sep 25, 2017

Absolver offers a truly unique take on the combat genre, with a peculiar mix between single and multiplayer. Technically solid and visually inspired, it suffers from a sometimes confused level design and the absence of a real, high-level endgame.

8.7 / 10.0 - FIFA 18
Sep 29, 2017

FIFA 18 improves the previous game in every aspect, with the Frostbite engine which takes animation and physics to a brand new level of quality. The gameplay is fun and lets you play a wonderful offensive football, while the new full manual defense is quite harsh to manage. Overall, the game offers a huge and deep football experience, thanks to a solid single player (with the new Career mode and the awesome second season of The Journey) and endless multiplayer action.

The Shadow of War offers a solid gameplay, a compelling concept and a much more varied setting than the previous episode, with excellent production values and an awesome soundtrack. The sequel is bigger, better and stronger, but somehow caged in a repetitive framework. The game is full of good ideas and potential, that cannot be truly fulfilled due to a storytelling without personality and a huge but boring endgame.

The Frozen Wilds expands the Horizon Zero Dawn's gameplay driven philosophy to a brand new area, packed with tons of action and a new questline. The DLC offers a solid 10 hours more of the same experience, while Guerrilla Game's open world still shines after nine months in terms of breathtaking visuals and compelling gameplay.

Assassin's Creed Origins is the best possibile series comeback. With a gripping narrative and an amazing Ancient Egypt open world, Origins is a wonderful and unforgettable journey. The revamped light-RPG gameplay works like a charm and it's the perfect mix of the most iconic features of the series and a contemporary taste in terms of game design.

7.6 / 10.0 - Gran Turismo Sport
Nov 8, 2017

Gran Turismo Sport is a pretty complicated affair: a mediocre single player experience, an exhilarating multiplayer title, the last work from Polyphony Digital is the greatest testament to a democratic vision of motorsport, where driving is really for everyone. A temple where players can share and contemplate truly stunning and beutiful images of cars, and drivers can look for the aesthetic perfection of driving. In the middle, a driving model with the same old limits of the previous chapters, and an overall anachronistic feeling.

Football Manager 2018 is a bigger, deeper and more complex episode of the saga. The best football universe simulation features a lot of new mechanics which give to the managers the chance to feel, manage and understand even better their teams. The evolution is amazing, but lacks of a real update to the UI, too old and chaotic, a little bit of polishing, with some dynamics which need to be fixed with the upcoming updates, and some issues in terms of hardware optimisation.

5 / 10.0 - Sonic Forces
Nov 20, 2017

Sonic Forces has an intriguing concept and shows some high production values, but at the end of the day this translates in some shallow and rambling ideas, and a main character that fails to create any empathy with the player. It's not a bad game per se, but an anonymous one.

RiME is still a wonderful game, but the Switch version is a tremendous porting, that can seriously ruin an otherwise unforgettable experience. You can overlook the downgrade of the resolution, or even the lower graphic detail, but the palette is faded, the pop-in is terrible, the frame rate unstable, and all these combined can seriously discourage everyone.

4.8 / 10.0 - Black Mirror

This reboot is a very big fail. The good subject is wasted becouse of a careless and a techincally poor execution. Just buy the original trilogy on GOG.com and live happy.

Road to Olympics is a sincere, passionate and compelling love letter to the Olympic spirt. It's not a proper game about Pyeongchang Winter Games but rather a Steep-style take on them, with a fresh and intense game campaign, an amazing new mountain to explore and a lot of challenges to take. If you loved Steep, you'll love this expansion even more.
