The Following is a powerful and well-made expansion, if considered individually, or an even gigantic experience if purchased with the full game, in the Enhanced Edition. The introduction of the Buggy does not obscure the gameplay of Dying Light but is still very well cared for, as well as consistent with the original spirit.

9.4 / 10.0 - Dark Souls III
Apr 4, 2016

Among the best results of Dark Souls 3 is the clear distinction between greater accessibility and substance below the surface, in the face of a very difficult, long and intricate adventure like any good Souls must be.

I didn't expect anything different, given hearts of stone's performance, but The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine is so wide and well done that it looks like a giant trolling to the triple-A system. After the generous free DLCs, the exceptional story of the first paid DLC, the addition of NG+ and a lot of technical optimizations, Blood & Wine exploits and amplifies Geralt's power at the highest levels – from 34 onwards – and blows it up on a gigantic, colorful and varied scenario, with the addition of special equipment and deflagrant mutagenic talents.

8.8 / 10.0 - Nioh
Feb 2, 2017

Nioh may not replace the Dark Souls series in our hearts, but it definitely has built a place for itself. Technically a little rough, still without PvP, this new title from Team Ninja could have provided more diversified scenarios, but it sure offers an excellent combat system and a wide and deep offering.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands manages to offer some fun (and sometimes great) moments, thanks to the various opportunities given to the player, and the magnificence of the Bolivian landscapes. Needless to say, the game is at its best when played in coop with other three friends. There are some small - but not irrelevant - flaws that somehow ruin the overall experience. It could've been bigger, and better.

The first Mass Effect trilogy is probably not a masterpiece, but, like basically everybody else, we become very fond of it, and loved the unique experience if offered. The main problem with Mass Effect Andromeda is that the main flaws of the first trilogy are still here, and that's not only the animations and the graphic quirks. Despite an open world sometimes visually majestic, the game lacks the boldness you need in order to go where no man has gone before.

The new Deus Ex: Mankind Divided DLC offers a nice, challenging experience for the player, thanks to a rich and complex new mission, a hefty level design (whereas the prison setting fits perfectly) and a lot of choices that favour the stealth gameplay.

The second (and final) DLC of Dark Souls III proves to be a far more robust and articulated experience than the first one. The level design is tangled yet magnificent, the content is richer and never ordinary. The perfect conclusion to an unforgettable chapter of the Dark Souls series.

They Shall Not Pass is a rather good DLC, with a lot of content and a bunch of new, well-designed maps (especially the Verdun battle). It doesn't offer anything truly original or unique, and it's not exactly cheap, but if you're a fan of Battlefield 1, we find no reason why you shouldn't be roaming in the new Behemoth, or shooting enemies in the Fort Aux bunker.

8.6 / 10.0 - Outlast II
Apr 23, 2017

Everything, in Outlast II, is better than the previous chapter: the story is more deep and articulate, the levels are bigger, the enemies smarter... Well, most of all, it's even scarier. Strap in, it will be one hell of a ride.

9.2 / 10.0 - Prey
May 7, 2017

Prey is a great interactive artwork, comprised of a huge, non-linear adventure where the player is truly king, a deep and inspired sci-fi story. Probably the best title ever produced by Arkane Studios, and certainly a must-have for every gamer.

8.6 / 10.0 - Call of Duty: WWII
Nov 3, 2017

It's been a few years since a Call of Duty this good. The single player campaign is strong, spectacular and gripping (but it could have dared a little bit more); the new War and Headquarters modes are a welcome addition to the series that will please newcomers as well as fans of the series, and the Zombie mode is funnier than ever.

The acclaimed Nioh marks its debut on PC without any particular accomplishment or novelties: the PC version, that includes the three previously released DLCs, can either be defined "pure" or "lazy", depending on your point of view. The game is exactly the same we already appreciated on PS4, including the lack of support for mouse and keyboard.

8.7 / 10.0 - Destiny 2
Nov 8, 2017

The PC version of Destiny 2 is everything the game already offers, only better: the loading times are less frustrating, and the graphics really benefit from the extra power of the most recent video cards (framerate, details...). Unfortunately, some of the deplorable connectivity errors already experienced on console found their way on PC as well.

After all the ruckus and the controversies, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 finally reveals itself for what it is: a great Star Wars experience. The new Campaign is definitely well written and thrilling (with some memorable dogfights in the space), and the multiplayer improves everything we already loved in the first Battlefront. There are still some issues with a progression system that relies a little bit too much on randomness, but the game is definitely better off without microtransactions.

For the time being, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds won - pun intended - the battle royale of battle royales. This new "gold rush" spawned a good number of decent titles, but the one created by Brendan Greene if by far the best and funniest to play (even if there's still room for improvement).

9.5 / 10.0 - Subnautica
Feb 5, 2018

In terms of settings, gameplay dynamics and sheer fascination, Subnautica is the best single-player survival game out there. It's full of bright discoveries, a great sci-fi experience, and at the same time a cruel and unforgiving survival horror. James Cameron would absolutely love it.

It's almost impossible not to compare Kingdom Come: Deliverance with the Witcher series: there's absolutely no fantasy in the Warhorse production, but it boasts a strong character, an enormous quantity of content, choices that matter, and an adult and mature storyline. You can't expect the same visual quality or a comparable level of polish (pun intended), but the battles are like nothing you've ever seen, and the depth of the simulation really drags the player into a beautiful medieval novel.

6.7 / 10.0 - Metal Gear Survive
Feb 26, 2018

Let's put aside the controversies about the Metal Gear saga, and talk about the game, and what it can really offer. The idea of mixing the gameplay of Metal Gear Solid V with a survival setting could have really worked, but the truth is that the very foundation of the game is pretty weak and messy. There are some fun and challenging moments, but overall it feels like a wasted opportunity.

8.6 / 10.0 - A Way Out
Mar 21, 2018

After the heartwarming Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons, Josef Fares extended the scope of his unique co-operative gameplay, addressing a much wider spectrum of players. There are a lot of gameplay opportunities that, together with a top-notch narrative, create a really engaging and original experience. The execution may not be perfect, but it's a deep and bold work.
