Francesco Corica's Reviews

A passionate player who always likes to be surprised by new games. I grew up with a SEGA Mega Drive, and I like almost every videogame genre, even though he mostly enjoys RPGs and Beat 'em ups. Also shares a lot of memes.
7.5 / 10.0 - Forced Showdown
Apr 14, 2016

Forced: Showdown is a nice experiment that worked: the trading cards and hack 'n slash mechanics blend in really well. While not a perfect game, it's worth a shot by the fans of both genres.

5.5 / 10.0 - Cosmic Leap
Jul 8, 2016

Cosmic Leap is a little game that tries to be more than what it truly is. The challenges are well designed, but the awful controls cause a lot of frustration.

7.5 / 10.0 - Anarcute
Aug 11, 2016

Considering that this is the first title of Anarteam and that this was first born as a school assignment of 5 students, this is a more than decent start.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is a solid alternative for the hunting game genre. If you're also looking for fast gameplay and attention to the plot, then this game is for you.

5 / 10.0 - WinKings

WinKings had potential, but was struck down by the excessive simplicity of gameplay, short length of campaign and lack of content.

4 / 10.0 - Moto Racer 4
Nov 27, 2016

Moto Racer 4 isn't certainly the series' return we were hoping for. It's an obviously rushed title, made in the hopes of gaining money thanks to the brand's name.

The Dwarves is the game that every dwarf fan was waiting for. It has a very well narrated plot and a challenging but satisfying gameplay.

It doesn't reach the quality level of the old Wave Race games, but it's still a good restarting point for the genre.

5 / 10.0 - Filthy Lucre
Dec 15, 2016

Filthy Lucre feels like a wasted opportunity: the seemingly good stealth mechanics in the end get ruined by an incredibly stupid AI and a bad combat system.

7 / 10.0 - 99Vidas
Jan 4, 2017

99Vidas managed to surprise us: a product that fans of the beat 'em up genre should look into. Being a low budget indie we're satisfied as it is, even if it could have been even better.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rise & Shine
Jan 11, 2017

Rise & Shine's gameplay is fun and challenging, but the game has a really short length as well. Being a cheap indie game, it's definitely worth a try.

The fans of the Touhou series will probably appreciate another adventure, and that's probably the same for the roguelike genre's ones too. However, there doesn't seem to be much to look forward to for all the other gamers
