95 / 100 - Ashen
Dec 19, 2018

Ashen was just a brilliant surprise at the last days of this year. It's a perfect balance in the genre of Souls Like games which both please the fans and also gives newcomers a chance to know what they were missing.

In terms of narration, Detroit Become Human is probably the best interactive drama you'll come across. general atmosphere of the game is not as unforgettable as Heavy Rain or even Fahrenheit, but there is some kind of maturity in narration that has never been seen in this particular genre.

100 / 100 - God of War
Apr 23, 2018

God of War has matured, has redefined its genre, has incredible graphics even on older PS4 and ends in a way that you know you should await at least one more epic trilogy.

60 / 100 - Sea of Thieves
Apr 8, 2018

In its current state, Sea of Thieves is nothing more than a heavily polished alpha version of a much more complex game, a game that needs to changed tremendously to be what Rare advertised. Still, its a joyful experience and game pass have made it much more worthwhile than paying 60 bucks.

95 / 100 - Bayonetta 2
Mar 29, 2018

With Bayonetta 2, Platinum Games has done an incredible job and successfully merged the most exciting elements of most popular Hack ‘n’ Slashes into its own formula and made a game that could easily be the best that this genre has to offer.

The rush and hastiness of Deep Silver for releasing Kingdom Come: Deliverance has made one of the most anticipated games of the year into a weak one. Although it's not too late for the devs to fix the game, this would surely affect the upcoming games of Warhorse studios.

In spite of its many flaws, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a fun game with lots of replayability, but a series of mistakes in game design and quests that are not always pointful has made one of the most promising titles of Nintendo Switch a mediocre game.

Truth to be told, It's not like that you need to buy a Nintendo Switch ASAP and play this game, but if you happen to own one, you should buy it ASAP.

With Mario + Rabbids and now South Park: The Fractured but Whole, Ubisoft has made it perfectly clear that is the master of Spin-Offs and maybe should be more focused on this kind of games in spite of AAA games that need at least 2 years of support until becoming what they should have been in the first place.

The thing is that despite all the achievements, there’s no sign of a true effort to resuscitate this troubled series and all the changes in gameplay seems like a trick to put an end to the endless reproaches. WWII implies to a brighter future for Call of Duty series, but that future hasn’t come yet and with current pace, will not come in near future either.

Simplification of gameplay and redoubled focus on adventuring are elements that could be found annoying by some people, but also what makes Mario Odyssey different than its predecessors. Super Mario Odyssey is a festival of color and cheerfulness and easily, one of the best platforming games of all time.

85 / 100 - Cuphead
Oct 14, 2017

Cuphead is a masterpiece that surely we won't see anything like it for years to come. But I don't think the difficulties of the gameplay is worth of losing a large part of the community.

90 / 100 - FIFA 18
Sep 30, 2017

The thing is that even after all these years, EA Sports hasn’t find its ideal gameplay for FIFA series; so every two or three years FIFA is going through some radical changes that are not always necessary. But FIFA 18 is different, changes are blessing from god and gameplay’s compactness and freedom has made this game a truly joyful experience and at the same time, a great football simulator.

PES 2018 is yet another progressive game in this long-running series that wows us with its changes. The gameplay hasn’t been this fun since PES 2013 and graphics are simply stunning. That said, Konami needs to get more aggressive and competitive with EA Sports and FIFA series and with current pace, it’s just impossible. Maybe it's best for Konami to take a year off and rethink the most fundamental elements of PES.

Unlike some of the most recent Ubisoft games and just like Rayman, Mario + Rabbids have been made with some kind of passion that we rarely see among third party developers. when Ubisoft makes a game with passion and craze, the output is almost certainly a masterpiece.

80 / 100 - Arms
Aug 21, 2017

Arms is another outstanding franchise from Nintendo that could restore our faith in motion controlled gaming. Yet the game is far from complete; contents still look inadequate and Nintendo Switch hardware limitations cause inaccuracy in detecting motions from time to time. But in the gameplay side, Arms has truly distinguished itself from other motion controlled games out there and could entertain you for a very very long time.
