Not a Megan Fox in sight... and it’s still terrible.

A surprisingly complicated shooter that could prove worthwhile for those who invest the time.

Plenty of promise, but this game is going to require some decent updates over the coming months.

Intense and a refreshing change of pace for a shooter, but only if you have the right team beside you.

7.5 / 10.0 - Guitar Hero Live

A great evolution to the controller, but lacks the fun of the originals.

With all of this thrown in, the game still only clocks in at around 5 - 6 hours - which is short considering there is no multiplayer to back it up. It does include a number of Challenge missions, where players can revisit scenarios and take on waves of enemies to best their time and high score, but overall the game is short-lived. It is action-packed however, and combined with the amount of 80's Transformers fanfare added in, it's a decent experience for anyone who still remembers Soundwave as a retro cassette tape deck.

8.5 / 10.0 - LEGO Dimensions

There are already plenty of add-on sets due for release in the coming months, including packs featuring Aquaman, Doc Brown, and Bart Simpson; and with LEGO's brand presence and ability to attract franchises, there is no limit to what might be around the corner. So if your wallet is equally limitless, there is a lot of good old fashioned family fun to be had here.

8.8 / 10.0 - FIFA 16
Sep 30, 2015

Despite these niggles, FIFA 16 brings exciting football to life and being able to control the ball better and run at defenders with confidence makes for some thrilling game time. As expected with FIFA - the soundtrack is appropriately diverse and appealing, and there isn't any noticeable lag online yet either. It's a worthy step-up from FIFA 15 by fine-tuning small aspects of the game, but not compromising the formula fans have grown to love.

Overall, and like other recent remasters, it would be hard to recommend this to those who have already played God of War 3. But for those who haven't - this is certainly God of War at its best, and it's a chance to experience one of the best beat-em up platformers the last generation console had to offer.

It's a shame about the bugs, which could be the product of meeting the movie deadlines rather than oversights from the developers; or maybe the fact that it had to sit alongside four other LEGO titles this year alone. But if you can look past randomly flying triceratops or temperamental vines - LEGO Jurassic World is still fun, full of charisma, and with enough unlockables and customisation to keep your attention.

Hardline is certainly a different Battlefield experience, but it retains a lot of the core mechanics that should keep fans of the franchise content. The action is faster, less strategic, and less deliberate than it's predecessor, but there is a reason why this isn't titled Battlefield 5.

As a welcome gesture to the original classic, the Definitive Edition also includes nostalgic Dante and Vergil costumes. Overall, if you missed DmC when it arrived in 2013 and fancy a hack'n'slash game along the lines of Bayonetta or Ninja Gaiden, then this PS4 edition is certainly the best way to experience the game.

However if you walk into this as purely a bonus round of overindulgent action to the original Saints Row IV, then you won't be disappointed. Although you might still feel a bit short-changed with the mediocre transition across to the PS4.

Rocksmith is worth checking out for intermediate guitarists, especially if you're of a generation that recognises a lot of the artists in the track-listing. It's also worth a shot if you're an accomplished player, but for complete new-comers to guitar who have never picked one up before, it might pay to get a few of the very basics down with a tutor (or knowledgeable friend) first.

These little extras and the impressive cast of characters (including excellent voice acting for each) makes LEGO Batman 3 worth recommending - for newcomers to the franchise and still those who enjoyed LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, or the previous Batman title. But there is a sense of franchise fatigue creeping in here, and it will be very interesting to see where Traveller's Tales venture to next. Go Aquaman Go!

Overall it's a welcome return to form for loyal PES fans. The presentation and usability has been improved and the core gameplay dynamics have been finetuned. In a lot of ways it offers a more balanced and more intelligent game of football than its rival, but PES 2015 still doesn't have that depth and accessibility to lure FIFA players away just yet. Next year however, we could see a serious head-to-head for best football game
