Some minor flaws aside, Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues is one of the best beat-em-up's out there, easily surpasses Raging Justice and I think can rightly be proud to call itself the second-best beat-em-up on the PS4. The Johnny Lawrence of the gaming world.
HotShot Racing is a must buy if you are looking to rekindle your love affair with arcade racers. Just be prepared to battle the rubber banding for the finish line.
Ninja Saviours: Return of the Warriors may be out to save the world from brain washed humans, but they may just save a dying genre of games that I miss something chronic.
Beat Saber is as good as you imagine it to be no doubt there and has joined the ever-growing list of must-play games on PSVR.
Binaries is definitely a nice addition to the ever-bulging collection of indie games appearing on the Switch. If you are up for a challenge then this is defiantly the game for you, expect lots and lots of death and don't play with anything breakable in the immediate vicinity.
All in all Pang Adventures is a great remake of a classic. If I had one concern, it would be that the game can feel quite samey after a while, but for pick up and play fun-times it’s damn good fun and did leave me with hunger Pangs to play more….see what I did there?
I love Lucky’s Tale, a wonderful platformer that harks back to the good old days of cartoon platformer antics. Easily holding its own against the likes of Mario and Banjo & Kazooie, this should definitely be in your collection of Oculus games alongside heavy weights like Vader Immortal.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a love letter to the original games, keeping the core gameplay intact but tweaking it enough to feel fresh and current. If you were never interested in the original games, or care little for skateboarding and its culture, there is still plenty to enjoy here too. You would be a right nollie not to pick this up.
SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete is an exquisite game that ticks all the boxes of what a sequel should be. I loved my time with this game with some playthrough's taking me into the wee small hours of the morning. (If you know me and how much I need sleep, this is quite the accomplishment) What this game does beautifully is condense all the flare and pageantry of a full-on FPS into a few minutes of intense bullet-time action which will leave you smiling from ear to ear.
Streets of Rage 4 is not here to redefine the genre. It’s here to give fans something they have waited over 2 decades for and it doesn’t disappoint.
The whole package is just as near damn perfect as you could possibly ask for. This has gone straight on the list of my Game of the Year Contenders.
The whole team weigh in on Insomniac's mighty Marvel triumph, Spider-Man.
Simply put. if you have PSVR then you need to have this game, if you don’t have a PSVR, then this maybe is the kick you need to buy one. Amazing.
The stage is set and if the content releases continue at this high bar level of quality, there's every chance we'll be talking about Destiny 2 as a potential "Game of The Generation", never mind "Game of the Year".
There is nothing quite like it.
Rocket League is another must-have title to add to the growing list of great games you need in your Switch collection.
Resonair and Monstars have reinvented something I didn’t think could be reinvented. They have created as much an experience as they have a game.
