The Silver Case, besides being weird as hell, is a solid visual novel game. The story works well despite its division into three campaigns and if you can struggle through the puzzles you’ll find an enjoyable experience for any Suda51 fan. Just be prepared for crazy.

9 / 10 - Attentat 1942

The game is very thin in the sense that there is little else to it. But the mystery is compelling, and I enjoyed the simple-start-to-complex-finish of the story. Everything is done with polish and style. The real actors play their parts well and realistically: Grandma is stern and annoyed when you ask for stuff from her, and everyone acts like the situation is one of seriousness even if they speak to you like a parent to a child.

9 / 10 - Yakuza Kiwami
Sep 17, 2017

In essence, Kiwami is a remake of the original Yakuza, released for PS2 in 2005. Rather than porting, Sega has pushed the story into the new engine, giving the feel of the newer games but retaining most of the narrative from the original. For those who have not played Yakuza before, this means you take on the role of Kazuma Kiryu, a member of the Tojo Clan who spends far less time being a yakuza than you would think in a game with the word in its title.

I find it hard to say much more about Chaos on Deponia. It definitely worth playing. It ticks all the boxes for those looking for something which harkens back to the old LucasArts adventures. It ticks all the boxes for those looking for a fun new adventure game. And it ticks all the boxes for those looking to sink into point-and-click style adventures. It is an all-round good experience, one you should expect for Daedelic.

Overall, Yakuza 6 is a strong continuation of the series so far. Personally the arcade feel has be lessened, but the graphical enhancements, extreme amount of content, and stunning story mean that I’m still wholly in love with it. If you took my recommendation to play both Zero and Kiwami, then take my recommendation and play this one.

SUPER HOT is a fantastic game, and one that is hiding secretly as a fantastic FPS mixed with a puzzle game, getting to the end will get you a feeling that other games just do not give you these days.
