10 / 10.0 - Persona 5
Apr 27, 2017

Whether it be facing off against society, making a name for yourself, living the life of a super powered thief or just enjoying highschool in Tokyo, Persona 5 will have you spending all your time doing all that and more in the most stylish way possible. You can even make a harem here for those of you who've always wanted one. This a game that will really tempt you to play the new game plus and doing everything all over again if you wanted to.

This remake is a chance for those who have yet to play FFVII to learn what it’s about and why it’s one of the most iconic games of all time. This reimagination of FFVII is what I believe the fans have always thought FFVII would be deep inside them.

FFXIV: Shadowbringers is a tale that shows us how much we need the Darkness, how balance must be kept in check, how vulnerable we all are, and how we can’t stand alone. We need others to guide us and help us push through all the things that would get in our way. This expansion is the amalgamation of what we could ever want in an adventure and what we could probably ever want in a Final Fantasy game. So come hither future Warrior of Darkness, join us in our epic and dark tale of friendship, hope, despair, wild and crazy banter, death-defying battles, and become one of the next Shadowbringers!

9.2 / 10.0 - Injustice 2
Aug 9, 2017

Overall, Injustice 2 improves in nearly every aspect of its predecessor and is packed with so many things to do offline that it would probably take awhile for you to have an itch to go online. It has a very memorable story and it takes real skill to get the hang of this game. This game is enough to satisfy my fighting game needs for the rest of the year and it should probably be the same for almost everyone else.

9 / 10.0 - Final Fantasy XV
Apr 27, 2017

It is without a doubt a memorable experience where all the fun was in the journey I went through and all the really powerful emotions were at the destination, preparing to say goodbye and waiting for The End.

Shadow of War is incredibly ambitious and delivers so much compared to Shadow of Mordor. The Nemesis system is bigger, badder, and more complex than ever.

Closing out the tale of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel saga has certainly been one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I’ve had in my life. Seeing how far everyone in Class VII has grown and remembering all the trials they’ve had to overcome to reach this point in their lives has been an incredibly amazing journey. They are characters that we’ve grown attached to and we wanted to see how their journey plays out and how it’ll end and we got just that in this final game and one can’t help but probably become a bit emotional over that. While the saga may be over, they still have a part to play in the grand scheme of things which we can definitely see more of them in the next Trails series.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age allows me to experience the world of Ivalice all over again and it felt fresh and exciting at the same time. It brought back the sense of nostalgia while not making it feel redundant overall. It has proven that it was and still is a huge leap forward in the RPG genre. The game fills me up with the sense of adventure just like it did before. So don't be afraid if you hated it at first. The 2nd try could be the charm you need to create your ultimate automative RPG instant kill squad.

8.5 / 10.0 - Judgment
Jun 29, 2019

Judgment may not be the next Yakuza game but it almost feels like one. Judgment definitely captures the sense of being a detective and whether it be dealing with an adultery case, a case of poltergeist, or even just taking photos of missing nekos, Judgment makes you feel like you're a bonafide private eye who answers the call of the helpless whether there's yen in it or not. So beware evil doers and lost items and pets for the time has come for Judgment!

Bandai Namco has always been known for their anime games but this is the first time I have ever played let alone heard of them publishing a sports anime videogame and while Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions may not be perfect it is probably a great stepping stone for them to do more sports anime videogames. Bandai Namco and developer Tamsoft actually makes me wish for them to eventually create a Haikyuu!! or even Kuroko no Basket video game which I’m sure I will love and even more so if they ever do a Slam Dunk video game.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is a great entry to the series that dares to reinvent itself and make itself very welcoming for those who are still on the fence on the Yakuza series as a whole. The JRPG mechanics are solid, the side content is plentiful, silly, and full of life, the characters are deep, and the story is full of mystery, intrigue, and drama which all make up an incredibly enjoyable ride with all the unique sauce that Yakuza is known for and is definitely something worth checking out for fans of the old Yakuza and new ones who want to get into the series.

Overall, Skul: The Hero Slayer is a great roguelike where we play a very funny antihero trying to save his masters from actual heroes who have come to flex how powerful humans are.

8.3 / 10.0 - Far Cry: New Dawn
Mar 11, 2019

There’s plenty of things to love about New Dawn despite all the things that fell short of what could’ve been. Whether your figuring out the riddles left behind by those that protected their treasures, clearing outposts over and over again with a different method each and everytime, or my personal favourite pastime which is unleashing my “War Boar” Horatio to send all the high way men flying no matter how strong they were since Horatio is the most broken character in all of Far Cry in my personal opinion, there’s so much fun to be had in the wild mix of chaos that just works and makes the series feel fresh and alive again.

8.3 / 10.0 - The Outer Worlds
Nov 11, 2019

The Outer Worlds is a wild adventure that really goes out of its way to give the players a memorable experience in a very replayable way. There is life in the game and there’s barely any annoyances that would make one think otherwise of playing it. The decision making you do as a player really solidifies its core element which is the player’s choice (not Spacer’s Choice). Every little thing you do in the Outer Worlds will have an impact on you whether you noticed it or not.

Andromeda is vast, immersive and just fun to play and get lost in. There will be a lot of things you can do in each planet and making them a viable place to live for everyone is actually pretty fun. You can even just spend time flirting with your crew or some NPC's hoping to get some romance whether it be with humans or aliens. Whether it's for fun or just plain serious will be up to your discretion. So try it out and get a taste of what an intergalactic adventure would be like.

8 / 10.0 - Prey
Jul 8, 2017

Prey draws you in and gives you the weight of responsibilities that whatever the outcome is, they're yours to bear. So whether you retain your humanity, cast it aside to decimate your demons or maximize the two forces together, its all up to you. After many alluring hours in playing this game, the hardest thing I've ever done was deploy a turret in outer space and set it in a position to fire against the enemies in space. So be prepared, cause Prey takes being cautious to a whole new level in gaming.

7.8 / 10.0 - NBA 2K18
Oct 13, 2017

Basketball is more than just a sport, it is a way of life to many people, myself included. And though NBA 2k18 is riddled with signs asking us to give the developers more money than what we originally payed for; it is still an amazing basketball simulator that even the biggest and smallest of NBA stars would play and worry over their ratings for. For better or for worse, this is not just a game, it is an experience.

7.4 / 10.0 - FIFA 18

EA has done well to emulate the culture of football into this game and while it is far from a perfect football game, with some more polish it can definitely become just that. Until then, the frustrations are real.

This is a game that's pretty much wild from the get-go, it's fun and does well enough to bring out a sadistic aspect in you or if you're a masochist you could always imagine yourself as the enemy as you find new ways to slaughter them. So if you're the type that likes going in ready to annihilate your enemies in a grisly manner, then this game is for you. Although the price may have you thinking otherwise.
