428: Shibuya Scramble takes some time to get into but once you start uncovering the mystery of its overarching plot, its unique story-telling and a well-developed cast are more than enough to recommend it for fans of Japanese visual novels.

Wasteland 2: Director's Cut places a tremendous emphasis on your choices and offers a thrilling adventure set in a completely unjust world. When it comes to the Nintendo Switch version, there are technical issues, ranging from the load times to the frame rate, that it is not the smoothest experience out of all the platforms.

Fans of Xenoblade 2 shouldn’t miss out on this expansion, however, it is difficult to recommend it to newcomers or those who didn’t really enjoy the main game. The content offered here is going to be more of the same, but with several notable improvements to the combat, exploration and progression system.

8 / 10.0 - WWE 2K19
Oct 11, 2018

WWE 2K19 has several noticeable improvements this year and an impressive character roster. The current MyCareer mode is a welcome addition to WWE 2K19, but it needs some tweaks to make it better. This is a fun wrestling game that nonetheless has some flaws holding it back, but at least now the future looks bright for it.

8.5 / 10.0 - SoulCalibur VI
Oct 19, 2018

SoulCalibur 6 is an outstanding fighting game that shows that content is king. It features a versatile character roster backed by a great combat system, although some of the new changes do feel like they are more suited for newcomers than long-time veterans. It suffers from some technical hurdles like the load times, but overall it is an extremely polished product.

5.5 / 10.0 - Fallout 76
Nov 21, 2018

If I had to describe Fallout 76, I will say it is a flawed idea that never works well. It is simply broken and feels boring but offers a redeeming factor with the open world exploration in some well-crafted environments. The buggy nature of the game is its biggest hurdle and some quality of life changes will go a long way in molding it into something enjoyable in the future.

8 / 10 - Metro Exodus
Feb 20, 2019

Metro Exodus is a memorable trip that is equal parts atmospheric first-person shooter and gritty survival horror drama set in a post-apocalyptic world. While suffering from some technical issues, the game itself is extremely well made from the way narration of the story happens to how combat encounters play out.

RemiLore is a flawed concept with a terrible execution that is mostly hurt by its design despite carrying some charming aesthetics and fun characters. The game could have benefited greatly from a traditional story mode instead of the focus on rogue-lite elements.

Yoshi's Crafted World is a charming game with a fun co-op that is sure to please kids and their parents. It is incredibly easy, which is one of the side effects of making it more accessible, but it doesn't mean the game is not fun to play at all. It is a gorgeous platformer with incredible visual style and some clever level design.

Vectronom is ultimately designed for a specific kind of audience. Those who are into rhythm games and are familiar with the monotonous trial and error associated with them will certainly find it appealing.

Sea of Solitude tackles a very sensitive subject matter and handles it beautifully. What it fails at is presenting it all in a package that offers satisfying gameplay.

KILL la KILL - IF is a fun brawler designed to appeal to those who are still a fan of the series. If you want to play a game that is based on the anime, this one nails the art style but the lack of customization and depth for the fighting system diminishes its overall value.

Remnant: From the Ashes has enough individuality that it stands on its own feet with the ideas it inherits from the Dark Souls series while giving its unique twist to some of them. It has its flaws, but don't let that distract you from an otherwise great game.

8 / 10 - Torchlight II
Sep 23, 2019

Torchlight 2 is a quality port that took time in making its way to consoles. It feels like a little too late now, but this doesn't mean it is not a good action RPG. Those who are on the lookout for something new that can satisfy their Diablo thirst can have a good time with this sequel.

AI: The Somnium Files is another bizarre but interesting murder mystery from the mind of Kotaro Uchikoshi. It is a refreshing take on the genre that has memorable characters embroiled in a story with many twists and unique gameplay elements.

7.5 / 10.0 - Code Vein
Oct 2, 2019

It can be termed as Anime Souls but Code Vein is far from it. This feels like more of an attempt to bring the same gameplay experience but without the polish and detail that From Software is known for in their games. As a result, Code Vein is a decent albeit flawed action RPG that doesn't bring anything exciting to the genre.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint is such a letdown, especially after the enjoyable Wildlands. It is hard to understand why Ubisoft made such controversial design decisions regarding this new game but it is without a doubt one of the biggest disappointments of this year.
